“Well, people need to know that Stone Soup is NOT a restaurant. They do meals once a week for people who need food and they also have a free store where we can get free items to help us cook our stuff at home. If I remember most of the staff are volunteers and many of them go to the congregation and worship in the church building.“

“The Blue Rock is lovely. Perched on a promontory overlooking the river, the dishes we had were well-conceived, perfectly cooked and presented. Cocktails were refreshing and flavorful.
We started with maiitake toast, which was gorgeous and in late September a great use of the wild-foraged bounty. We had the duck with cherries and pomegranate, perfectly-cooked, garnished with mashed potatoes and squash cooked two ways. The salmon with soubise sauce was nice (perhaps a tad more pureed onion would make it perfect?).
Because the Blue Rock is the only restaurant of its type open on a Monday, the staff was busy, and very friendly. We felt no pressure to turn the table over and it seemed that diners were happy to relax and converse over good food and drinks for the evening. We will definitely return to the Blue Rock. Reservations highly recommended.“

“Visited Buckland Pizza for the first time today, 10/15/2025. Exploring that region of the Berkshires today with four of my cousins, my husband, and our dog. Found Buckland Pizza and what a gem! The staff, the room, the menu… It was just an all-around wonderful experience. Can’t wait to go back!“

“We were so lucky to be recommended to Mo's for our wedding cake & desserts! Michelle (Mo) and her daughter Natasha were very helpful in the planning process. We got to go in for a tasting beforehand and pick out exactly what we wanted for us and our guests. The cake and cupcakes were not only flawless but delicious as well! We had a raspberry filling with fresh fruit on top and both were so good! It was a July wedding and the frosting held up in the heat perfectly. They were able to put in our personalized cake topper too and setup the whole thing just how we pictured it, offering their own serving dishes and flatware. We've also been into the store and tried some of the rest of their treats and are amazed at how yummy it all is. “Overall it wasn't the worst restaurant we've ever been to but there were a few things today when we had lunch there that could be improved upon The server came over. welcomed us and told us the lunch specials. I asked him what the sides were that came with my special. he recited the sides so I ordered one of the ones he mentioned. my sandwich was good along with the truffle fries My wife ordered the quiche, but it was warm at best and for $17.00 it was small, the salad that came with it was average, nothing special I did order a cup of NE chowder for $9.00, no crackers served with it and had to eat it with a regular teaspoon, no soup spoon. by the time the server came back to ask how is everything most of my wife's warm quiche was eaten so she never was able to send it back to get hot When we received our bill they charged me $ 5.00 for the truffle fries that server said came with it.“

“Hillside pizza literally saved our wedding this past weekend. When our family was hit with covid the week before our wedding we had to pivot and make a plan b. If we didn’t cancel our planned catering by a certain time we would risk losing a large amount of money if we ends up with covid. We decided to call hillside which was close to our venue and see if they could help. Daniel was awesome and super accommodating. We were able to order 39 various pizzas all of which were awesome and salad for 105 people. They also accommodated a few of our guests with gluten and dairy intolerance by creating special meals for them. They were able to give us until 8 pm the night before to cancel as we continued to covid test to be sure we were clear. When the pizza arrived it was sent with hot bags tongs for the salad which was so fresh and delicious. All of the dressings and pizzas came with awesome labels. The guests were very satisfied and the food was delicious! Thank you so very much Daniel and hillside pizza!!“
