“Stopped in to Protocol when we landed in Amherst while doing some leaf peeping across central MA. They were doing their brunch menu. The menu wasn't huge, but everything on it was done spectacularly well - #SizeDoesn'tMatter. I had their omelette special and my wife had their Duck Poutine - they were both excellent. Made very well. We also had a couple of cocktails - if you get the chance to have their Spiced Pumpkin Spice Latte, definitely do it. Not too sweet with excellent flavor. We happen to get in when it wasn't busy, so we got great attention and were able to chat just a bit with the servers. Overall a great time - 5/5, would definitely recommend.“

“The Elks hosted a benefit for one of our friends who is a Northampton native. Without the help of the Elks, we would not have realized our goal in raising funds for our friend and his family. Donnie and the staff were absolutely second to none. Their attention to detail, helpfulness, and most importantly, compassion, was truly heartfelt. We were able to raise $8,000 for the family. Without the Elks, this would have never happened. Sincerely, Friends of Bryan Jarvis“
“We've hosted both a graduation party and, more recently, our engagement party at The Barb & Olive and can't say enough great things about this space and the staff! Leila, Kit, and their whole team are so enthusiastic and accommodating, and the space itself is intimate and refined. They helped with setup and cleanup, gathered our input on the drink selections and even included our party logo on the printed menus––and our friends and family are still talking about the delicious, unique cocktails and mocktails and the friendly, warm service. Thanks to this venue and crew for helping us celebrate these milestones!“
“One or my favorite hole is I'm the wall sports bars that few people know about, but the bar has this spirit of what a bar should be from the bartenders to the patron it's got this soul that most mainstream bars only wish they had just thought at miss fear of you crave a good beer or a cheap one like the time of post economic struggle or a good mixed drink this is a must see spot you feel the feeling of a real massachusetts sports bar“
“Love the brass cat bartenders are awesome !! One of the best bars on the street!“

“What an incredible hole-in-the-wall pub. I was at a conference at UMass and was recommended to visit here for an eclectic selection of beers from around the world. So glad I took their suggestion! Soooo many delicious choices, from light to boozy. If you're daring, join the Mug Club.
Parking: Small number of spots adjacent to the building“
“The Conway Inn is a quaint place to stop for food and drinks or to hang out with friends. They have 2 pool tables in the back. There is another room with dining tables. It's a limited menu but the food is good. If you like blue grass music the 2nd Friday of every month they have an open jam with some fine local talent.“
“This is the best bar in town, featuring a large selection of craft beers on draft as well as some classic beer, full bar, signature and famous pickle back shots, cocktails made with fresh squeezed juice (juice squeezer affixed to the bar). Seating at wrap around bar as well as tables and high tops as well as a wall lined with bench seating. 3 pool tables, 2 sets of dart games. Does not offer food, but permits takeout food. Beer can museum is extensive. Must be 21 or older to view interior collection.“

“1st time I was here I had mozzarella sticks and they were the best I ever had. 2nd time I had a BLT wrap with fries. Was really good. Last night me and my wife had burger and fries. Was the best burger we had in a long time. Courtney the bartender is always awesome. I highly recommend the food. My only complaint is the kitchen is not always open when it should be. Other than that, it's a great place. I just moved to Easthampton and it's nice to find a place I can relax for awhile.“
“I always love to come to the spoke. I’m an avid customer from over the years and I was charged $26 for 2 drinks that we’re $6.50 last week. I’m really not happy with the spoke rn“

“Really good food and a great beer list.
Edit 3 September: we had the pretzel again. This is probably the best pretzel I've ever had. It's hard not to just eat pretzel after pretzel and work my way through the excellent beer list.“
“I'm not exactly sure how I would classify this place but I'm going to give it a shot. It is kind of a bikerish Sports Pub esque local Watering Hole? A place I'm pretty comfortable at. I did not have a meal here but I will be going back to try something. There were plenty of beers on tap reasonably priced, serve Yourself popcorn, plenty of TVs to view, one or two pool tables, I think a couple dart boards. I saw a stage for bands. Now that I've set the stage this place had both a classic and modern styling that appears to be well kept. The staff was nice and attentive. If any of this sounds like to your liking I'd give it a shot. I know I'll be by here again when I'm in the area.“
“Love this bar! The staff is wonderful, great drinks, great atmosphere, it’s always a good time. Hands down the best live music bar in western mass!“
“I have been here for their Karaoke night that they do on every Tuesday. It's a nice, little, cozy and cheap hangout place. On Tuesday, it is pretty fun with friends because of their karaoke arrangements. You get to hear all kind of funny voices.“

“I've been going to the Delaney House for over 20 years. The food is excellent. The dress code has evolved over the years into a more casual environment which is better in my opinion because sometimes I just want to enjoy their food without needing to dress up like I'm going to walk the red carpet. When they initially reopened after closing during the pandemic the place was a hot mess. I thought maybe there were new owners. I was nervous that they were doomed to go out of business at that point because the menu was so limited, all the best dishes were missing! Thankfully, they endured, and 2 years later the restaurant is slowly returning to it's former glory albeit their hours are odd and non-competitive with other restaurants. Luckily, the food is still amazing. My only constructive complaints are that they got rid of the baked stuffed shrimp despite it being one of the most requested items from their old menu. Every time I visit the restaurant I ask and I am always told people constantly ask for it but they only offer it on limited holidays now. That's a poor business decision not to carry something that your customers ask for all the time. The tap water they serve has always been chlorinated over the past 20+ years. I don't drink tap water when I'm there but they always provide a glass of water and it's always disgusting. They used to have us fill out surveys at the end of our meals and for many years I told them to put a filter on their water line. I hope they don't cook in that water, it tastes like pool water. They do offer Saratoga bottled water as an alternative but that doesn't change the fact that their tap water is abhorrent. I am glad they brought back whipped butter which is fantastic because for awhile they were only giving cold butter with their popovers which did not spread right so it essentially caused the popover to fall apart as your tried to spread a brick of cold butter on it. For awhile their popovers were half the size that they used to be and they were often burnt. Recently the popovers seem to be cooked perfectly and that's a plus. They will occasionally bring back lobster tails that you can order as an extra side for your meal, they seem to only do this on special occasions which is rather obnoxious considering they used to always offer it on their menu. They got rid of the sorbet that they would serve you between dishes, I was so used to them serving that that I was saddened when they stopped doing it. Reaching the restaurant by phone is a hot mess now. You used to be able to call the restaurant and get someone right away to speak with, I am not of a fan of their new automated system that makes it near impossible to reach someone. They now take reservations through a third party and that's fine but I would rather speak to someone at the restaurant because I like to reserve specific locations to sit when I go there ie: the summit room and or the library. If you go on a busy day you might get stuck in the main dining room and it's too loud in there for me. They have a bar area inside called "The Mick" which has its own separate menu and I always thought that was strange because they use the same kitchen. Back when the manager Colette was there she used to let me get both menus and order some dishes off of both menus. Each menu had great stuff on them. I always thought it was absolutely redudant to have two different menus in the same restaurant and to only allow the customers to order from a particular menu if they sat in a specific area of the restaurant. I've ran businesses for decades, just combine the menus and let the customers have a better variety to choose from. That's another example of a lingering business opportunity for them. Overall, they have made a lot of improvements, the food is consistently professional grade chef cuisine and that is their saving grace and it is why I continue to return. Their customer service is typically always amazing with the exception of the occassional new host t“
