We've been to Rustic Kitchen in Hingham many times and are always happy with our choices. They food is excellent. We each ordered the butternut squash soup, which we've had before. Excellent. For dinner, we ordered both the haddock dinner and the scallops with mushroom risotto (my go-to), and both were great. The scallops were more tasty, but I'd eat each again.
Fine, predictable food, a solid choice. Does it deserve to be for our family the fall-back if we can't be seated at Burton's Grill in the same mall, and the Legal Seafood prices seem too much of a stretch? Maybe. A note on seating: esp for outdoors during nice weather, the place has almost looking-down-nose Hingham-ness if you try to have only some of your party standing right there. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very warm and inviting. Usually when restaurants try to create a warm atmosphere they fall short, this place does not. The food is great too. The menu is not overwhelming and the quality is good to great.
