Craving fish & chips today so we tried Firehouse Seafood takeout. Was excellent! Guy working the counter is real knowledgeable and very informative. They bring fresh fish in several times a week to sell and offer lots takeout selections too. Fish and chips was cooked perfect, lots flavor but nothing overpowering, very good balance and is a well garnished dish too.
Tried this small take out seafood restaurant/market for the first time based on a friends recommendation. Ordered the fried clam strip platter $13.99. I consider myself an all around fried clam connoisseur living in the Cape and harvesting /eating clams all of my life. These are by far the best I have had anywhere!!! And a great price! Local spot with lots of visitors. Most people were in to get some seafood or meat. The woman (I think owner?) is very sweet. We stopped by because we thought it was a sit down place, but it's more of a seafood/Portuguese market with takeout options. She gave us some suggestions of where we could go sit with some picnic tables in the area. Everything is very reasonably priced, and they don't skimp on portions or quality.
