Great food and friendly, attentive service. The Tikli Marsala was as good as any we've ever had and the Vindaloo was spicy without being overwhelming. We were seated promptly outside on a beautiful August evening, served right away by a smiling waiter and allowed to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed.

The food was amazing, definitely recommend the chicken korma! Service was attentive and so nice
We like Clay Oven usually but the Paneer Tikka masala was ok and Bhindi masala on the spicy side. But it could be a miscommunication about the spice level.

I ordered the Dosa Thali and the recommended Pani Puri. Pani Puri came first and the kind server who was friendly to take orders took my feedback. The feedback however was not great. The potato stuff was missing salt, missing seasonings and I felt like I live in a world where salt was never invented.
Then came the Dosa Thali with Vada, chutneys, Dosa and Idli.
Dosa was good, not crispy but still good enough. The idlis were sad and rigid outer layer which couldn’t play nice with my fork. Yup that rigid outer layer. Vadas were not bad if it wasn’t for idlis and unsalted potatoes. The drinks and chutneys were great but what’s the point. Did not try any North Indian food. Honestly I wouldn’t trust it.

This is a culinary gem in Lexington MA. Lexington is not generally known for its cuisine, but Clay Oven is an exception. When you go to the Battlegreens where the first shot rang out, be sure to swing by Clay Oven for some great Indian cuisine afterward.

Disappointing food. The worst Aloo Gobhi I ever had - no flavor at all and tasted just like boiled cauliflower. The Paneer Kulcha was horrible too - was not baked properly at all. The Dahi Papdi Chaat was the only edible thing. The Kadhai Chicken was average for a chicken dish but it was not a Kadhai Chicken recipe at all. The whole food was an insult to Indian food and they definitely need a better chef.

Let me start by giving a shoutout to the beautiful town of Lexington. It's gorgeous. We went to celebrate my brother's birthday. Food was delicious, service was fast, staff there was polite and welcoming. To top it all they gave us complimentary welcome papad to start with which most restaurants don't serve and gave us a $10 gift card for next visit. Was planning to go back there anyway!!!!
