I’ll probably will never walk in this place ever again or even spend my hard earned money in this establishment. If you are a darling brother like me don’t go in this place trust me

Preface by saying, I have loved Tipico for YEARS and have the fondest memories growing up on their food.
BUT - 2 nights ago there was a cockroach embedded into the side of my plantain. My soul was instantly crushed while my stomach did a thousand circles. 🙃

El Tipico don’t play fair. El pernil was tender like it had a bedtime story the night before. Rice? Fluffy and loyal. And that tres leches? Bro… that cake hit me with childhood flashbacks I didn’t even live. Whole meal felt like a hug from your favorite tía. 10/10 would cancel plans after eating again.

Restaurantji Recommends
Used to live in Massachusetts, been coming to this restaurant when I was 8 years old; this was my childhood restaurant and the food here is so good, I moved to Florida years ago and this restaurant is still on my mind to this day

Deplorable bathroom. Only a single bathroom for both men and women and it is always dirty and smells horrific.
Food is set out behind glass enclosures with heating lamps. It's never fresh and basic things like rice, chicken, roasts, plantains, etc. are always dried out . They also don't cover the serving trays so the flies are everywhere around the food.
Heavy cockroach infestation noticeable in bathroom and under booths in dining room.
It's too bad because I love most Tipico restaurants I've visited. This one just didn't sit well with me. I've given this location at least 4 or 5 chances. Each time is a disappointment. 😞

Great food and service! Place is always busy, so that's always a good sign. Very recommended if you are in the area
If you want the best Spanish food in town than this is the spot! Their pork belly is beautiful, crispy, beautiful, and absolutely delicious! Their beefsteak is fire and so tender… their service is great and you’re never waiting long no matter how long the line is and they always give me a good smile and that goes a long way! Prices are very reasonable. Fresh juices and many other amazing things. I highly recommend! They have tables there that accommodate up to 4 people but it’s really an awesome spot to go grab a killer meal for the fam or yourself to bring home and enjoy! Perfect local spot
