Where to begin... the ice cream is home made, and it shows in the taste and mouth feel. Creamy, delicious and in a variety of familiar and new favors. Inasmuch as I loved the variety and quality of the ice cream, I loved the portions more. Seriously, a kiddie sized portion would be enough for a hungry adult. I think for the price, the portions are beyond generous. But my favorite aspect of Captain Dusty's is the service. The 3 people behind the counter were friendly, courteous...
When homemade ice cream actually seems homemade it's a real pleasure to gobble some down on a warm summer night, feeling the molten icecream run down your hand and forearm while taking chunks of the coffee-with-nut-sprinkles-cone. Lucky it's next to a relatively clean harbor so you can lie on the dock and rinse your hands and face off afterwards. Terrific experience ..
