No one would make it, others offered a lemon filling, but no icing!! I called Arthur’s it have been a decade correct more since I had been there, the baker was sweet, agreed to make this cake! And WOW JUST WOW!! It was incredibly fabulous, the cake was outstanding but the icing was not screaming lemon, it had the perfect level of lemony flavor ! I cannot thank them enough! Loved the strawberry shortcake, the cake was moist, cream was very smooth, strawberries were fresh, the combo’s not overly sweet, would def order again!On the other hand, didn’t enjoy the matcha red bean one as much, the cake texture was more coarse, and there’s a savory taste that was a bit odd.Overall, the mini cake’s size is on the small side, with approx. $8 per piece, it’s slightly overpriced. However, the price for drinks were quite reasonable for Boston area, enjoyed my ice americano!“

“This is a hidden gem! We came in here after a bike ride for coffee and an egg sandwich. The egg sandwich was on a homemade biscuit and one of the best egg sandwiches I've ever had. “This is a cozy little bakery in Newton. There are a good variety of pastries and cakes offered. You don't need to order cakes ahead of time, as there were several on display and available when we went. Staff were friendly, plenty of street (metered) parking. Decent prices and the things we tried were delicious. The cookies and cream cake looked good and tasted great. The lobster tail was of decent size and the cream filling was excellent and not overly sweet or bland. I'd come here again for cakes and pastries.“

I am obsessed with chocolate cake, and when we asked if they could make my now husband and I a chocolate-on-chocolate wedding cake, they were so excited. The owner was extremely helpful in designing the cake and advising us on how big it should be. Plus, they added on a vanilla sheet cake for all the non-chocolate lovers. “As a celiac bride, I was worried that any cake safe for me would be unappealing to our guests. I’m so glad to be so wrong! Addie was super helpful at the tasting and made us an adorable cake to cut. We ordered lots of different flavors of mini cupcakes for our guests and they were such a huge hit that we didn’t get any! They were gone in ~30 seconds! Order more than you think you need, we probably could have gotten double what we ordered.“
“Mike's Pastry is an iconic bakery originating out of Boston's North End neighborhood. They offer a variety of cookies and other baked goods, but they are especially known for their extensive selection cannoli. Mike's of course has the classic plain ricotta, but they also sell more unique cannoli such as amaretto, limoncello, and hazelnut. Moreover, there are some newer flavors such as pecan caramel, peanut butter, and mint chip. There is something for everyone. This Cambridge location is fairly new, but their baked goods are of the same high quality as the original location, but with slightly less inventory and without the obscenely long lines. My wife and I got some cannoli for breakfast and some cookies for the flight back home. They pipped our cannoli fresh. Not sure if that's a regular occurrence at this location, or if it's because I arrived close to opening. Regardless, it was delicious and our family/friends loved the cookies.“

“I went to the location for the first time and man I’m in LOVE!!!! I tried Red Velvet and chocolate chip!! Loved both of them! I couldn’t stop myself from finishing the whole cake. They are super dense and moist and just the way I prefer my cakes. The frosting was great too. Although I would suggest that different cakes should have different frostings instead of all having cream cheese. BUT that’s not gonna stop me from coming back here again! Just delicious!“
