Coming from Florida, this is a great local Italian Bakery that you simply cannot find in the South. We got a slice of pizza, cannoli, tiramisu, and cookies. The pizza was fresh and super soft. The cannoli was hand filled as it was ordered, and the cookies were soft and bursting with flavor. They also have pizza rustica for Easter for sale! I loved seeing that as someone who makes it homemade every Easter. I would definitely come back the next time I’m in Medford.
They do make good desserts but I'm not a fan of the bread....it is not true scali bread so that's disappointing, but given it's location from Boston.... They do have fresh and quality desserts. This is definitely a staple to the Medford neighborhood and I live in Woburn so if this establishments were in Woburn.... It too would have a good volume of customers. The best pizzagaina around! We make sure to pick one up for every Easter for the last several years. It’s one of our favorite parts of the weekend and the whole family expects it from La Cascia’s now. They sell by the half and whole but trust me you need the whole pie!!!
