I had the pleasure of working with Sensational Paella Catering for a recent wedding and was incredibly impressed by both the quality of the food and the professionalism of the entire team.

Julian was extremely helpful throughout the planning process, especially with venue logistics and timeline coordination leading up to the event. His experience and communication made a huge difference in ensuring the day ran smoothly.

Onsite, the team was organized, collaborative, and wonderful to work alongside. And the food itself was phenomenal — guests were raving all night, and the grazing table was especially stunning (I’m still thinking about it!).

I truly hope to collaborate with them again in the future and would absolutely recommend them for weddings and events.

I can’t rave enough about their service. I had them for over for a small gathering of friends for my birthday. The food, display. and service was exceptional and all my guests loved the selection. I even had a few folks with seafood allergies and a few vegans and they were able to ensure their safety as well as their satisfaction. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

We had an incredible experience with Sensational Paella! We worked directly with Julian, and he made planning our event and preparing the food an absolute breeze. He was so easy to work with and incredibly helpful, guiding us to create the perfect menu and overall experience for our private event. His team was equally wonderful—friendly, kind, and clearly passionate about the food they were cooking. We enjoyed two large paellas and a beautiful grazing station with endless options. The quality of the food truly stood out: the meats, cheeses, and garlic butter shrimp were phenomenal. Our guests loved every bite and savored every moment. I can’t recommend Julian and the Sensational Paella team enough—they made our event both delicious and memorable!

Sensational Paella catered our brunch wedding and we absolutely loved their food! Working with Julian and his team was wonderful. We had about 150 guests, and from the start, Julian had excellent suggestions on how best to accommodate guests. He even gave advice about how best to work with our venue since they have done other weddings there before. We had 4 huge paella trays--veggies, seafood, meat, and Caribbean/Cubano. They were all terrific, and our favorite was the Caribbean one. Our guests also loved the amazing charcuterie table he set up. Julian even connected us with a local bakery so we could include some Haitian patties in our charcuterie table. Our guests also enjoyed watching the team prep the paella in the tent beforehand. Throughout this process, Julian was kind, accommodating, and so thoughtful. He put together an amazing spread even after having a very tight turnaround from another event the night before, on limited sleep. We are so grateful for all of his help, and now we just need to convince someone else to use his team for their wedding so we can enjoy more delicious food!

Our wedding was the best day ever, and it all centered around the DELICIOUS paella created by Julien and his team. I can't even count how many people said that was the best wedding meal they have ever had. We had so many guests go up for SECONDS! From meeting Julien in his home tasting paella and sipping wine, to having him enjoy our day together, he made it easy. I can't WAIT to use Sensational Paella again!!

Wow! Sensational Paella really lives up to their name! Fantastic! We hosted a 60th wedding anniversary party for my parents and Julian and his team made it an incredibly special event. The charcuterie board was a work of art and the paellas were delicious! The team show up early to being prepping and cooking. When it was time to serve they took care of all the details. They made it easy for my sister and I to focus on the guests while the food prep and serving was left in Julian's hands. It has been a few weeks and guests are still calling to share how great they thought the food was. My wife and I hired Sensational Paella for our 120 person wedding last summer. From start to finish, Julian and his team were an absolute joy to work with. The food is out of this world, but even beyond that, they put so much care into every little detail and were an enormous part of our wedding going as smoothly as it did. Now back to the food… our guests are STILL talking about it a year later! The appetizers alone were presented so beautifully, and when the paella came out it was such a wow factor. I cannot recommend Julian and his crew highly enough and would hire them again for an event in a heartbeat.

We knew we wanted to get it right with our caterer for our wedding on 9/18/24 at Hammond Castle so, we decided to go with the best! My side of the family doesn’t get to eat fresh seafood as we are from Ohio and my father doest’t typically eat any as he generally doesn’t like seafood. However, our experience with Julien and his team was amazing and even my father got to try something new and loved it. He also went above and beyond with the charcuterie board. It was the best one I had ever seen!

I must say, Julian and his team of culinary experts are by far the best catering company we have had the opportunity of working with. Everyone was amazing and their food and prep was top notch-you would be hard-pressed to beat them! I stand by their work and would recommend them to any of our clients, go for it!

We were excited to serve paella because the bride's late grandfather was known for making celebratory paellas for large events, and this felt like a good way to remember him on the big day. Julian honored that sentiment and then some!

The cocktail hour spread and food were both amazing, and Julian made up plates and had waters ready for the bride and groom right after the ceremony, so we had plenty to snack on while we were having our couple's portraits done. He and his team were cooking up a show, and even let the ring bearer mix some of the paella, which our family got a real kick out of! He also took candid photos throughout the day, which felt like an added bonus. Even now, six months out from the wedding, people are still commenting about how amazing the food was. Our family is trying to come up with other occasions big enough that we could hire Julian again! We wholeheartedly recommend Julian and his team to anyone looking for amazing food.

Absolutely Fabulous. We had our holiday party for 30. The food was absolutely delicious. The charcuterie table was stunning and abundant with so many tasty options. We had a seafood and meat Paella and they were both fantastic. I'm a bread person and they specifically went to a bakery to get fresh baguettes that were great. Dessert was yummy. The entire staff was friendly and professional. They cleaned up perfectly. My standards are very high and Sensational Paella exceeded my expectations in all categories. Highly recommended and will use them again and again.
