Tried Madre Osteria for the first time with my family. We thought the food was outstanding. The oyster Rockefeller was the best I have ever had. Tuna Tartar was fresh and delicious. The entrees were excellent. We had the chicken parmigiana, the bolognese, short ribs and the carbonara. All had good portions and were well presented. That being said the service was a bit subpar. I loved the vibe of the place and service was great. I was not impressed with the food. I ordered chicken parmigiana, the sauce was good and pasta was cooked al dente which was perfect. However the chicken was a big dry. I was looking forward to the baked alaska that we ordered for the table, and although it was a beautiful presentation, it lacked in taste. We are still trying to figure out if it was covered in merengue or marshmallow. I will give Madre Osteria a second chance...
