Straight Wharf Restaurant

What a disappointment. From the hostess that was annoyed that we popped in 10 mins prior to our reservation time (we had no problem waiting- Just wanted to let her know we could be seated earlier if that was better for them!), to the waitress that was annoyed that we asked if they carried a certain gin, the staff was all downright miserable.
The food menu is overwrought. I made the mistake of ordering the honeynut tartine and what came was a great glopping mess of 15 different elements, none of which went nicely together.
The swordfish was so dry I could barely swallow it. The prime-rib was… fine.
The only thing that saved our evening was the nice bottle of wine we ordered and the lovely autumn weather.

I can’t give this five stars I wish I could we ate dinner here our first night the food was really good the staff kinda forgot about us at times and could not answer some of our questions also the menu prices are very deceiving. The staff did not bring it to our attention about the extra charges on the two course fixed menu…:) But other than that it was good

A very good place to eat on Nantucket. Nice views if you get one of the harbor-facing tables. The menu is alright but nothing spectacular. Kids are tolerated but not especially welcome. Time limits for your table (if you are dining early) are enforced.

Best in class overall with SWR / Straight Wharf Restaurant - kudos to Gabriel and his team. Appetizers/Entrees and Dessert - magnificent. Best ambience and most romantic on the Isle of Nantucket.

The restaurant has such a nice atmosphere and interior - very scandi style, I think it’s probably better for a lunch rather than a dinner. The service was great and the food was fantastic. We ordered the ceviche, tuna burger and lobster roll - all were amazing but the tuna burger was the standout. Pretty reasonable prices (by Nantucket standards) as well

I really suggest not going here and wasting a ridiculous amount of money on truly boring and overpriced food. My wife and I are on our honeymoon. We just spent a week in bar harbor, Maine and the food was sooo much better there. This was overpriced and honestly gross. I can’t believe people enjoy the clambake, it’s bland, the chorizo was completely overcooked and tasted like rubber, also the dish was cold. The waitress was so great and quickly replaced for something else but even the ribeye was terrible. Lastly, the food made me sick. Really really disappointed.

Straight Wharf is the best restaurant in Nantucket! Every dish here is amazing! The clam bake and the scallops are pure perfection! The atmosphere here is great and the service was impeccable! You must go to Straight Wharf Restaurant while on the island.
