It’s not my favorite burger on Nantucket but it is still good. For Nantucket, pricing is pretty good and is overall quite affordable and cheaper than many of the surrounding restaurants. They got my food out pretty fast aswell and it felt and tasted pretty fresh. As someone who lives here year-round and was raised on Nantucket, the overall atmosphere and taste of the place is very nostalgic to me. I’m honestly glad to see that through my many years of living on Nantucket, Stubbys continues to be the place I remember from my childhood.

We decided to do stubby’s after having the Nantucket crisps, since one of the flavors was created by the chef. We got a double double, which tasted like charcoal chemicals, it was extremely dry. Also got the sandwhich with steak, chicken tenders and bacon, the bacon is “fake” and rubbery, and again not really any flavor. The redeeming parts of the meal were the onion rings and mozzarella sticks. Great beer flavor to the onion ring batter. So expensive for very lack luster food.

We grabbed breakfast from Stubby’s three times on our trip. The customer-facing staff was really friendly, and the eggs on a muffin (with a hash brown on it, of course) is something to look forward to.

My husband ordered a four-egg wrap each time (paying extra for more eggs). Only one out of the three times did it clearly have four eggs. The other two times, the wrap was honestly paper thin and he was still very hungry after eating.

One morning, along with breakfast, we grabbed lunch to take to the beach. A tomato mozz caprese and a tuna salad. The tuna was great. The Caprese… I’ll let the photo speak for itself 😅💔.
We spent over $50 for two breakfast wraps and a caprese (perfectly fine if it’s the meal it’s supposed to be) but they weren’t even enough for a snack unfortunately.

Overall, the inconsistency was disappointing. Hopefully owners/ manager can take a closer look at consistency and portions. I think that would make the experience much better!

“Jeffrey is an absolute gem at Stubby’s! He’s charming, attentive, and knows exactly how to make a girl feel special. Whether he’s remembering your order or flashing that killer smile, he somehow makes grabbing a sandwich feel like the highlight of your day. Stubby’s is lucky to have someone this good!”

Order a bagel with cream cheese. Was given a bagel with the essence of cream cheese. Can’t say I’ve ever had to complain about not enough cream cheese before. Didn’t feel satisfied and was severely disappointed. A disgrace to the bagel community. As a bagel enthusiast I don’t know how I’ll recover. As one of very few bagel sellers on island step it up.

Stubbys in Nantucket is hands down one of my favorite spots to grab a quick, delicious bite to eat on the island. Whether you’re just coming off the beach, cruising around town on a bike, or looking for something casual but seriously good, this place totally delivers. It has that classic laid-back island vibe, and the food speaks for itself. First of all, the wings are amazing — perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and loaded with flavor. You can tell they put care into how they’re made, not just tossed in sauce and rushed out. They’re the kind of wings you actually crave the next day. And the sliders? Absolute perfection. They’re small but packed with flavor — ideal for when you want to try a few different things or share with friends or family. Whether it’s classic beef sliders or something a little more unique, everything I’ve tried has been spot-on. Stubbys is also super convenient. It’s not a sit-down place where you have to wait forever — it’s quick, easy, and friendly. The service is always solid, even when they’re busy (which they usually are, because it’s just that good). It’s one of those rare places that manages to be fast and high quality at the same time. It’s also in a great location if you’re walking through town or heading to the ferry. You can grab your food and go, or hang out outside and enjoy the nice weather while you eat. It’s casual and fun, and the kind of spot that just feels right for a Nantucket day. All in all, Stubbys is a must-visit when you’re on the island. Whether you’re looking for something quick, comforting, or just really tasty, you can’t go wrong here. Great wings, great sliders, great vibes — definitely a gem in the Nantucket food scene.
