The food at Bar Yoshi is always good, but a 500% markup on wines by the glass is ridiculous -- even by Nantucket standards.

Went to Bar Yoshi for my birthday dinner while visiting Nantucket for the first time. It did not disappoint. Our mocktails were fantastic - not made with sour mix like others - tasted like a real mojito with tons of fresh mint. Perfect way to start the experience. The food was delicious - everything from the sushi rolls to the ribs to the shrimp shumai to the amazing dessert at the end. Everything was beautifully plated and tasted just as good as it looked. Service was amazing - our server anticipated our every need, even running across the restaurant to provide a new napkin when my husband dropped his on the floor. We were doted on by three separate individuals. Food came out quickly, but never felt rushed. They let us order at our leisure rather than ordering all up front. The ambience was awesome. Great lighting, fun/cozy vibe, easy to talk without screaming at each other. Only downside was how expensive it was. I can't recall a time when I've paid $40 for one sushi roll elsewhere, but it was a splurge meal for my birthday celebration. Just hope that the prices don't scare others away - it was a really great meal and I'd hate for folks to miss out on this gem of a restaurant.

The menu selection is awesome and the quality even better as is the service. We have been here many times and the consistency is amazing! Highly recommend it

Love this spot. One of my favorites on the island. Sushi is fantastic and the Piggy Rice 💕

Always enjoy Bar Yoshi. Terrific food and service and the location is a great spot near the harbor and boats.

Had an incredible experience here. Sarah was our bartender at O bar and specially curated an amazing cocktail for us. She gave all of the best food recommendations and really made our night special. Would highly recommend!

Snacked our way through Nantucket but the notable and most exceptional dishes here were the Ichiban roll and the chicken Yakitori! Yum! Cute spot and we got a great seat with a water view! Highly recommend!

Wow! What a great spot! We never made it into the main building but the smaller side building they call O Bar was so fun. We made it our regular spot during our week on Nantucket. We tried many other places but O bar had a vibe and service that made it hard to beat at the end of the day (or whenever we wanted a drink 😂). Food was top notch, drinks were amazing.. great variety of cocktails, I really recommend the painkiller. The service was always great, bartenders Sarah and Felipe really stood out and after visiting multiple times, with the place always busy, they were always kind, professional and quick! We highly recommend and will return again.

One of my favorite places to go on the Island. Always great service and delicious food and drink.

The food was incredible. Service was outstanding and the atmosphere was perfect for us to kill 1.5 hours waiting to board the ferry. We had the chicken steak and shrimp yakitori and all were so tender. The lobster lo mein and the tempura shrimp roll with salmon on top and spicy tomato sauce were specials and were lip smacking good! The painkiller drink was a perfect blend and for a change a mixed drink not too strong for me. The Seas and Desist was also very good. Expensive but worth it.

The sushi and service is memorable. Have a refreshing Rancho Relaxo cocktail with the crab Rangoon to start.

Another overhyped Nantucket spot that mistakes pretension for quality. The hostess refused to seat us at an empty table in a half-empty dining room, claiming they were “fully booked.” Forty minutes later, the table and several others remained untouched. Service was sloppy—our table wasn't even set correctly. The food was average, the prices unjustified, and the martini weak. Overall, a disappointing and dismissive experience. Absolutely not worth returning.

Loved this place, the food was so good as were the drinks. Waiter was friendly and the space was bright and airy.

Not worth the wait. The service was slow and it felt like the manager didn’t really care. Prices are on the high side, and the wagyu burger I ordered had very little flavor. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but overall the experience was disappointing.
