Everything at this bakery is fantastic! We picked up goodies every morning- Morning Buns, Cinnamon Rolls, Morning Glory Muffins, Honey Buns, Chocolate Croissant...it didn't matter if they were out of one. That one thing got substituted with another baked good that was just as delicious. Everything was fresh, homemade and warm from the oven. It truly is wicked good- don't miss your chance to go here!¡

We've known the popularity of WIB for years but still made the trip to wait for a morning bun. 45min to an hour wait was expected. No problem. We waited. Today we went around 9am to let the early crowd dissipate. We were told they were sold out for the day. Wait, what? How? I thought you could only place orders in person and buy a max of 6? Apparently, people can pre-order TRAYS, yes, TRAYS! When we arrived, all trays were already purchased. Even the ones that haven't been made yet! Nowhere on the website says you can pre-order. Seems like locals know this. Tourists? Not so much. Don't waste your time.

Get there early or you won’t get the best buns on the island! Their morning buns are delicious and sell out fast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s a bit small inside but who cares. It’s great.

Congratulations! I have to say, after 15 years of coming to Nantucket, I have finally found the least competent business on the island! Beware customers: the morning buns that are out are not for you! They’re for people who already ordered them. Guess what? You’re going to have to wait at least an hour to ~maybe~ try an elusive morning bun. Wicked Island - Don’t put morning buns out if they’re already sold. It’s messed up. Also, saying “I don’t know how long the list is” when you have it directly in front of you is extremely rude @the people working behind the counter. Take online orders. Take phone call orders. I understand that you are a small family business, but I come from a family that has owned two different small businesses, one of which was a bakery. I understand the concept of stock and inventory, but your system is ridiculous and ruins the mornings of the customers who are only here for a few days and are looking to grab a pastry and go. If people are raving about your buns, why wouldn’t you optimize your system to actually make everyone happy instead of catering to regulars? It seems the system is “if you know you know” and everyone else is left in the dust. Looking forward to making my own morning buns!

The morning buns are exceptional! The scones and croissants were delicious. Make sure you grab your coffee as you are heading out. This is a great family run establishment that gives SO MUCH back to their community, and is the definition of family first.

I’ve been coming here for years, always hoping the experience will improve—but unfortunately, it hasn’t. Wicked is known for its cinnamon buns, which are very good—if you’re lucky enough to get one. On my most recent visit, I was told I’d have to wait over an hour for a fresh batch, even though there were only about a dozen customers in the store. They had completely run out, again.

It’s baffling that the management still hasn’t implemented any kind of production planning or inventory control, especially for their signature item. It feels like a disregard for customers’ time—particularly frustrating if you’re here on vacation and trying to make the most of your day.

The rest of the menu is just slightly above average, the coffee is well below standard (comparable to a gas station at best), and the service is painfully slow.

There are at least five other spots on the island, especially closer to town, where you’ll find excellent pastries, solid coffee, and far more respect for your time.

My advice: skip Wicked. The name fits the experience—and not in a good way. Enjoy your vacation somewhere that actually values your business.
