Places like this seem often ignored by most New Bedford residents. Cafeteria style, some seating but more suited for take out imo. These types of restaurants have only gone up one dollar (in 10+!years!)for a huge take out meal ($6) that you'll get two meals out of. I love this place. Lately I've been grabbing the 4 dollar plate for lunch which is still a very generous portion that makes me very happy.

I don't know what happened, but the last two times we went there the food quality has gone way downhill. I think it must be a new cook, but the pernil was tough, the spaghetti and rice was both under-seasoned and over-seasoned, and they were both soggy. I'm so disappointed. But the employees were friendly as always.

This place is super nice. I come here all the time. It's super affordable. And the staff are so nice and very smiley. :) A nice trait to have. Overall a nice place my only complaint is that the parking is p*** but eh it's worth it if you get good food. ?
A $7 meal is enough for two servings. Their stew beans are like homemade with pieces of pumpkin. I usually purchase them and eat with quinoa as a complete high protein vegan meal..Vegetarian options: Vegab stew beans, rice, yellow rice with pigeon peas, & fish dishes..

Pretty good authentic food. I'm Puerto Rican and it reminded me a lot of the food I was eating growing up. It's a little more expensive than Celia's (which I feel is the best Dominican/Puerto Rican based restaurant in New Bedford) but if you're in the south end and craving this type of food this place is a good option. Delicious
