Scrod was ok but needed a little something extra. The view and the whole harbor vibe was great . The biggest drawback was the over the top noise level!

Great food and great service. I had the baked scrod and my wife had the bakes stuffed lobster special. Both were perfectly prepared and the service was spot on. Cannot wait to return.

Food was great, waitress was very thorough and pleasant. Service was a little slow but it was our 1st time there and we weren't in a big rush. We will definitely be going back!!

We recently hosted an event at Merrill’s on the Waterfront, and everything was absolutely perfect! Manager Shauna was amazing—she helped us set up the room just the way we envisioned it and made sure everything was in place for a smooth and beautiful day.

The food was delicious, and the bartender and servers were incredibly helpful and friendly, making sure all our guests were well taken care of.

A big thank you as well to Victoria, who was fantastic in helping us secure the date and work through all the details leading up to the event.

It was truly a great day all around, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team to help bring it all together. Highly recommend Merrill’s for any special occasion!

Merrill's is a classic seafood restaurant and bar overlooking a working pier with seating outdoors in good weather, a banquet room for special events, and an open area for the bar and dining. On a Friday night, the place was filled with ppl noisily enjoying their time. The wait staff had their hands full attending to everyone. Bread baskets with honey butter were brought early. The most frequently ordered entree by our party was the Shore Tour. It consists of two stuffed, butterflied shrimps, a small slice of cod, and four tender sea scallops baked in a bowl topped with seasoned bread crumbs. Sides were added. Most of us requested the garlic mashed potatoes, the coleslaw or green beans. The bowls were way too much for the sides. Additional orders were Calamari and a Smashed Burger.

We stayed across street but saw high marks on open T so would have gone anyway. We liked view. Our dinners were both great.

I made a 1 p.m. lunch reservation via open table. We were running about 10 minutes late for our confirmed reservation, so we called the restaurant 3 different times, attempting to alert them about our tardiness, but there was no answer. We were able to leave voicemails at the restaurant, alerting them that we were running tardy. Upon our arrival at the restaurant, it was obvious that we didn't need a lunchtime reservation given that there were only 4 tables being occupied, and there were 3 customers eating at the bar. We were at the hostess station for a moment when we were greeted by a young lady who was walking by with another customer's drink in her hand. She was super friendly. I told her about my reservation that I had made earlier in the day on open table and how I had attempted to call the restaurant a few times to alert them about us running a few moments late for our confirmed reservation however, no one answered our 3 different attempted telephone calls to the restaurant but I was able to leave voicemails. She said she'd look forward to listening to them. She sat us at a table for 2 by the water. She told us she was our assigned server. She was friendly and attentive. She aimed to please. She immediately brought us waters and a basket of corn bread served with a side of honey drizzled butter. We shared the fresh tender calamari appetizer, which was delicious. My nephew had a specialty burger with fries. He enjoyed the burger and said he'd be happy to return to try another one of their other specialty burgers. He said the fries were just okay. I had a scallop plate. The scallops were fresh, though not as flavorful as scallops that I've enjoyed at other local restaurants recently. I substituted french fries for mashed potatoes, which were delicious. The handful of scallops were adequate for a lunch portion, though $30.00 was costly for 5 scallops and mashed potatoes. Coleslaw was not included. We didn't order dessert. We said we'd return for lunch again.
