My son and I had lunch just yesterday and really enjoyed the food, as usual. I had eggplant thika masala and he had the chicken thali platter. The garlic naan was tasty and not doughy. We finished off with mango lassi.

At this place I had ordered a dish that was made with mushrooms a goat curry and it was Very salty and the Mushrooms where definitely poisonous and they had given me food poisonig and I wouldn't ever trust their mushrooms dishes being the mushrooms are not being well prepared or preserved I feel sick to my stomach from this and I would not recommend them.

I heard about this place years ago from a girl, I was sitting at the time. It’s coming back from New Hampshire so I decided to stop in for a bite. The chicken masala is definitely top three I’ve ever had the rodeo was phenomenal. The service was quick, but I was also the only person in the restaurant for lunch. All the flavors were there I got mild But you can’t beat the price for the quality you got. Definitely worth a stop

Wow, incredible food! The meat samosas and chutneys were the best I've ever had! Chicken Tikka Masala was so flavorful and they weren't afraid to make it extra spicy like I ordered. For me, it was a tiny bit sugary-tasting, rather than the sweetness from caramelized onions, but that's more of a personal preference. The lamb vindaloo was incredible. The lamb was so tender and the sauce was full of flavor. I got the basil garlic naan and onion naan. Both were super fresh and crammed full of the minced fillings. Mango lassi was delicious and not overly sweet. Can't recommend their food enough! Service was very kind and helpful, but a little slow, as there was only one waiter on during the lunch rush. We enjoyed sitting in the bright and sunny glass dining room, but the rest of the restaurant could use a little updating and personality. They do give a cash discount, which I wish I had known prior to coming. Convenient public parking lot in front for $1.50 per hour. Overall a great experience and I will be back!

Edit: after coming back a few times, I can say that the service has been much faster at our subsequent visits, and friendly as ever! The food is consistently the same perfectly delicious food. So much flavor! And exactly what we come back for every time. And Hot was the perfect spice level for us, and seems comparable to other place's Hot or 4*s.

Would like to give this place more stars because the food is good. However, they have twice now helped themselves to their own decided tip amount. Fool me once. Stealing money from customers is not a great way to do business.

Not the nicest, most welcoming interior. It definitely needs an upgrade. It's nice that they have their own parking lot as it can be difficult to find a space downtown, especially in the summer.

I think the food is good. Best Indian food in town. I typically get the lamb Vindaloo with Naan. They used to give free crisps (forgot the name) with chutney. Now they only give the chutney and make you pay for those. Cracker/crisps. Not that big a deal, but when you see a restaurant start cutting corners while allowing their interior to noticably age it usually means that either things are about to get worse or they are struggling financially.

I hope this is not the case because would hate to lose a great Indian restaurant in Newburyport
