Would give 3.5 stars if that was an option. The main stuff, our meals, was quite good. I had a three taco platter (1 Pastor, 1 Carne Asada, 1 Chorizo), and my spouse had a rice bowl. Everything was fresh and tasty. The salsas that came with the tortilla chips (note that these cost extra, but a not unreasonable 4 bucks) were also enjoyable but the chips themselves require comment. We are vegetarian, and one of us has Celiac Disease. We all did very well. Service was good, but nothing special. The atmosphere is weird - like it doesn't quite know what it wants to be.

We tried Mexicalito for lunch yesterday, and one of us ended up getting a brunch item as well. The food was delicious and flavorful, and the handmade tortillas were a treat! So thankful for the fantastic vegetarian options as well! Jose takes care of you! Thanks for a delightful meal, we’ll be back!
