“Absolutely fantastic! We got the fried chicken with rice and beans and the fried fish with plantains. Chicken was well seasoned, and moist despite being fried without a batter. Fish was moist, tender, flaky, served whole fried, on the bone. Pikliz was tangy with a hint of that scotch bonnet spice, great compliment to the fried meats. Rice and beans was probably the best I've had on the continental US. 10/10 overall!“

Jim the manager went out of his way to check all the little details that make an event special from custom menus to an easel for a sign. The waitstaff was wonderful and accommodating! “I have a complaint to be made, the chef Orlin Garcia himself, who works at the establishment, said that Mr. Carlos, the owner of Mak's.the kitchen is very dirty, there are a lot of rats, if basic sanitation is improved there, people will run the risk of catching leptospirosis, the snacks are very tasty and very dirty. Max Orlim Garcia's cook brought me a snack, my son-in-law said don't eat it because Mr. Carlos, the owner of the pizzeria, uses leftover food from other people at the table or what's left over As I said, Americans drool with desire for this burger, even though it's leftovers from other tables. He's a dirty and disgusting person, and Orlim himself helps to remake the burgers.“

They’re generous in portions, the food is always delicious, fairly priced (not expensive) and the wait time is usually short. They really put their heart in it to make sure everyone enjoys their food. I’ve noticed that they’re constantly updating things to make sure the experience is enjoyable for all who choose to dine-in at the restaurant. The staff and owners are super sweet and friendly. The aesthetic of the restaurant gives it a very cozy and warm feel. They also have some seriously good baklavas, if you’re keen to try some out! “Wonderful meal here and very friendly staff. It was great to have so much gluten free choice. The chicken Thai green curry and ginger beef were both delicious and gluten free. I also asked for the Thai green curry to be mild and they did that too. My partner had sweet and sour chicken (not gf) and also really enjoyed it. I would recommend to everyone for a great meal.“

There are many possibilities on food. I love hot pot and sushi and this place grants both. I was extremely impressed with their Sunburned Maki. It was superb, they roast the sushi to perfection and that provided a nice char flavor. It was the highlight of my dinner.

Hot pot was standard and a le carte. Great proteins but I blame myself not knowing which broths of theirs to pair with proteins to optimize flavor.

Price was favorable and affordable. So much so that I treated myself to Hot Sake to compliment my sushi experience.

Atmosphere was welcoming. The staff had pleasant personalties and smiled. The environment was calm, itseems they excel more in carry out then eat in as they were not too busy for a Sunday dinner.

Overall, a great experience. Can't wait to go back for Surburned Maki.“
