“Had a delicious dinner last night at Avenue and wish we had checked it out sooner. Amazing wine and cocktail. Tried the Brie appetizer and Avenue Flatbread, which were both delicious and unique! Spiro, our server, was so attentive and knowledgeable. Service was excellent! Wish we had room for dessert bc that also sounded great but I guess we just have to go back soon“

“Great casual space. Was packed on a weekday for lunch. Sat at the bar. Great beer selection and pub food that was prepared well, quickly, and above average quality. If you're looking for a great casual townie type atmosphere that is welcoming and clean this is your joint.“

“Ordered takeout Friday night for the family. Bianca pizza and a ceasar salad. Young kids and adults all agreed that the one pizza was great (miracle we all agreed on one) and the ceasar was a classic that hit the spot. Added a couple of Whoopie pies (only $2!) for dessert. Delivery was on time, driver was cool. All around great experience. We will continue to order our family pizza night pizza from here - bonus points because I can order off Local by Toast app to rack up points.“

“Stumbled into this restaurant today by accident, and left wondering how soon I could get back there. Absolutely the best-tasting food I have ordered in most of New England. The servings are generous, the menu extensive, the ingredients fresh and perfectly seasoned. One of our group is a picky eater and she couldn’t get enough of her veggie burrito. My grilled eggplant sandwich was to die for, and another at our table ordered the portobello sandwich, which she declared superb. The owner/host and a new employee could not have been more accommodating. This is a very clean, unassuming place, a real gem. Coming down from Vermont - the land of vegetarians - I went back wishing we had this great place where I live.“

“Scott gave us fantastic service! He appeared to be the only server this afternoon but you would never know it—he was so quick and attentive. He put us at a quiet table as requested, then got our order right in, refills on drinks, rolls, and then automatically got us a second pizza to take home as he said the first one didn’t come out the way he wanted it to.. we were so lucky to have him today—thank you Scott for giving us such a wonderful dining experience!!“

Ordered the veal special and got the special price $89.00 Swordfish on a bed of spinach for $52 another special price Front desk was very rude which was never like that. They have become over priced and not customer friendly. We will not return“

This particular time, I made a reservation for Father's Day but I accidentally booked it for a week prior - the manager was so incredible and could hear the desperation in my voice, so squeezed us in and made it work by his own kindness, even though the restaurant was fully booked. Our waiter was amazing - the service was incredible from beginning to end and our meal was absolutely delicious and so freshly homemade as always! We cannot wait to come back, thank you Spiga!!“

“Absolutely fantastic! We got the fried chicken with rice and beans and the fried fish with plantains. Chicken was well seasoned, and moist despite being fried without a batter. Fish was moist, tender, flaky, served whole fried, on the bone. Pikliz was tangy with a hint of that scotch bonnet spice, great compliment to the fried meats. Rice and beans was probably the best I've had on the continental US. 10/10 overall!“

“I dont know what kind of dark magic they use, but their dairy and gluten free pumpkin pie is delightful! Even my picky eater kid ate two whole slices. I go at least once a month and stock up on treats which I then freeze to have on hand and its so worth the money and the drive. Thank you, Twist, for having gluten and dairy free treats that are actually good.“

If you wanna order an omelette, you will get the most amazing omelette and not spending an enormous amount of money like you would Friendly Toast. Nowhere in the Newton area or Needham area will you find a friendly or owner? Who will know you in two days and call you a regular and know what your order is After just a few times of your visiting the restaurant. While this place does a ton of take-out, this style and specifically these pizzas are better enjoyed unboxed, fresh from the ovens to your table. Also, nothing says family nostalgia like drinking a bottle of red table wine from small juice glasses just like Sunday Dinner @ my great grandmother's!“
