“Solid hole in the wall spot to get a quick bite or a full meal. The pizza is a step above what I typically find in the area. The dough has a solid undercarriage and tastes very good. The grease is kept under control, even on pepperoni pizzas, the middle (where grease can tend to pool) isn’t soggy. The sauce and cheese is good but nothing exceptional. Affordable spot to get a bite for lunch or a meal for a larger party.“

“Scott gave us fantastic service! He appeared to be the only server this afternoon but you would never know it—he was so quick and attentive. He put us at a quiet table as requested, then got our order right in, refills on drinks, rolls, and then automatically got us a second pizza to take home as he said the first one didn’t come out the way he wanted it to.. we were so lucky to have him today—thank you Scott for giving us such a wonderful dining experience!!“

“Spiga is our absolute favorite restaurant!! We've come a dozen times and it is always the best meal! This particular time, I made a reservation for Father's Day but I accidentally booked it for a week prior - the manager was so incredible and could hear the desperation in my voice, so squeezed us in and made it work by his own kindness, even though the restaurant was fully booked. Our waiter was amazing - the service was incredible from beginning to end and our meal was absolutely delicious and so freshly homemade as always! We cannot wait to come back, thank you Spiga!!“

“We would like to give a higher rating and hope to in the future but there were several areas that could be improved:

1) My husband and I sat on the patio next to the front door. We used to come here alot when it was Petit Robert. They have done a nice job of changing it from French country bistro to modern upscale Italian, still very cozy. It was a lovely evening but it was disrupted by 2 young boys running in and out of the restaurant yelling the score to some game. They continued to yell up and down the sidewalk and climbed the lamppost. It really ruined the vibe. It was surprising that their parents (inside) nor the staff said anything to them. We could over hear the table next to us also commenting about this raucous behavior.

2. The service, although super friendly was slow. We waited for quite some time to place our order and for the bill. I never got the ice that was requested. Perhaps this is because of thr busy crowd on a Friday night.

3. The majority of our dishes were outstanding. The grilled squid appetizer was the best we have had in awhile. The squid was very tender and went perfectly well with the sliced fennel and lemon vinaigrette. My husband's wagyu dish was also beautifully executed. It was cooked to the perfect medium rare and paired nicely with the garlic sauce. Sides included lightly seasoned crispy fingerling potatoes and broccolini also cooked to perfection. I ordered the house special, lobster in vodka sauce with house made pasta. This was the biggest disappointment when the other dishes were so well delivered. The pasta was over cooked and mushy. The sauce was a bit sweet and there were only a few small pieces of lobster claw meat. This was surprising since the dish was more expensive than the wagyu. When the hostess checked in on us, she was gracious in offering to get us something else. I went with the black truffle wheel since we had seen other tables ordering it and the waitress had said it was her favorite dish there. Indeed it was incredible and did not disappoint! The pasta was not overcooked and the sauce was to die for! I loved it and would come back just for that dish alone!

When the bill came out, we assumed that they would have comped us for the lobster dish since that was what we didn't like and had sent it back despite their offering us to take it home. But instead, they had comped us for the truffle dish ($26), which was just over half of the lobster dish ($44). Seemed like a strange unprofessional practice.

Overall we still loved 3 out of 4 dishes so would still come back. Hopefully there won't be screaming kids and perhaps the wait staff would not be as slow.“

Ordered the veal special and got the special price $89.00 Swordfish on a bed of spinach for $52 another special price Front desk was very rude which was never like that. They have become over priced and not customer friendly. We will not return“

“We had an excellent dining experience here. Calamari was some of the best I have ever had. Flatbread pizza was creative and oh so flavorful. Mushroom ravioli wasn’t a huge portion but was so well made and fresh I didn’t care. Creative and well made cocktails and the complimentary bread was delicious and a really nice touch. Our waitress Kathleen was very kind and attentive, and when our gift card was accidentally misplaced she worked with the manager to rectify right away. Fantastic atmosphere and outdoor dining experience! Would highly recommend this spot!“

“On October 2nd, we hosted a Rehearsal Dinner for 35 that opened up to a Welcome Party for 90. The transition in their beautiful event space was seamless, thanks to Joanna and her wonderful staff. Leading up to the events, Joanna answered any question I threw at her. It was especially comforting since I was organizing from Florida. The food at the rehearsal dinner was delicious, chicken parm, salmon, gnocchi. The service, both food and drink was exceptional. We did a prix fixe menu and Joanna created a specific menu for our event. It felt very special. For the welcome party with an open bar, we chose a charcuterie board, fruit platter, meatballs and arancini all served buffet style. High top tables were added to accommodate the additional guests. Again, Joanna and her staff paid attention to every detail. As the hostess, besides wanting great food and service for my guests, it was extremely important that I got to enjoy my son’s wedding festivities. I had the best time not having to worry about a thing. I can’t thank Joanna and her staff enough for making it all happen.“

“We tried 6 different things and they were all amazing . Great pizza , deserts are delicious. Fun atmosphere and the big wood stove fire is cool. Service was fast and polite. Our food came out pretty fast even tho it was busy on Friday. Everything was very well prepared and generous serving sizes. I can’t wait to go back. Get the Popeyes sweet pea pizza . “We are regular visitors to Café Assisi, because every visit is excellent, in every way. The food is delicious - tonight we had chicken sorrentino and a shrimp special and enjoyed every bite. Our cocktails were perfect too, and one of our favorite servers, Sylvia, knew just what we would want before we even ordered. “Dinner was fantastic!! Order to go…Veal piccata with linguine, Fresh Italian bread and Italian, sparkling….Sanpellegrino orange drink, with a fresh cannoli made to order.
Everything was exceptionally tasty. The VEAL in particular was exceptional.., very tender and cooked to perfection.. Cannoli was freshly made directly in front of you, with a nice firm shell.. portion size was generous. The bread was actually stupendous too!
This establishmen continues to never ever disappoint. Consistently great and reasonably priced.

“PHENOMENAL!!! This place was absolutely delicious. We got the lobster bisque, Cesar salad, potato couchettes, lobster ravioli, and chicken Parm, and every single dish was absolutely fabulous! The chicken parm especially was absolutely phenomenal, one of the best tomato sauces I’ve ever had. I will absolutely be coming back, this place is a hidden treasure. “I got a primavera bbq catered for my daughters recent graduation party. I was highly surprised how good it was since primavera is known for their italian food. I thought the food was fantastic and so did all the guests. They came right on time and set up was and cleanup was exceptional. I would recommend..“

Jim the manager went out of his way to check all the little details that make an event special from custom menus to an easel for a sign. The waitstaff was wonderful and accommodating! “I have a complaint to be made, the chef Orlin Garcia himself, who works at the establishment, said that Mr. Carlos, the owner of Mak's.the kitchen is very dirty, there are a lot of rats, if basic sanitation is improved there, people will run the risk of catching leptospirosis, the snacks are very tasty and very dirty. Max Orlim Garcia's cook brought me a snack, my son-in-law said don't eat it because Mr. Carlos, the owner of the pizzeria, uses leftover food from other people at the table or what's left over As I said, Americans drool with desire for this burger, even though it's leftovers from other tables. He's a dirty and disgusting person, and Orlim himself helps to remake the burgers.“

“Last week we had a rehearsal dinner in the banquet room. The room was ready for us upon arrival and we were greeted by the friendly staff. We had a buffet dinner that was excellent and the trays were replenished often. The staff was outstanding getting our drinks out in a timely manner and checking in often. Requests made throughout the night were handled right away. I would high recommend having your next event at this venue.

The roast beef sandwiches are like the north shore(IYKYK) and the salads are so so good! They give you pita bread that tastes like pizza dough. So happy they are local.“

I was absolutely pleased with my purchase the other week (A buffalo chicken calzone w/ bacon) as it was SUPER delicious! A superb first purchase. The dough was phenomenal and the ingredients within the calzone were tasty. Taste and quality wise, this is probably one of, if not, my favorite local calzones around now... Quantity-wise for it's price point, in respect to other places I've gotten take out from, it could be a little larger/heavier! It is a long style of calzone, not wide or round... But taste-wise, Marinho's absolutely takes the crown for me! The dough is what really made this calzone great, as well as all the ingredients within. I recommend giving it a shot, and I may just have to try out their pizza next.“
