We ordered the poppyseed strudel, a half moon cookie, and a challah and they were amazing. There was a woman packaging a million challot in the next room and the whole bakery smelled great. Their challah is different than Rosenfeld's in Boston (which is more like a dessert to me); it's closer to homemade or what Bakey in Boston sells. Really solid baked goods.

I believe they open at 7 am but you should call first. My son has a dairy allergy and this place crushes it. The pastries/deserts are amazing from the chocolate, vanilla, red velvet whoopee pies to the blonde brownies. They are amazing and there is no way you can tell that they do not use dairy. The baker mentioned that can also do a birthday cake. I'm absolutely floored that this bakery isn't more popular. I would say they have a modest selection of goods but if you or your child has struggled to find really great deserts, look no further. They do use nuts in this bakery. I should also add they have a variety of muffins/loafs. They make the best Cinnamon rolls but not on Monday and Tuesday. They are crazy good! It's a very unassuming storefront that you may have driven by a thousand times and not noticed.

Grew up in the Jewish section of the Bronx and in my 50's now so have tasted my share of Challah's.I discovered Zucker's and it is by far THE best Challah! It is top quality, it is more dense which i love and the egg glaze is the best i have ever had! Jeffrey ...you have yourself a new customer! Outstanding! Made Challah french toast with the sliced loaf this morning and it was brilliant! Absolutely delicious! Many thanks and blessings to you! See you soon!

When my local deli didn’t carry them anymore, I drove from the city to Peabody to get my hands on their chocolate cupcakes. Gives you an idea of their quality. Fresh from the oven they are moist, rich, and flavorful. It’s delightful to enter a bakery that actually bakes! ? ?

This is a very wonderful place that we are so luck to have! Been going for years. To correct some of these revierws... Yes they were just baking challahs, the best you can get, and some holiday specials ,for years with little storefront, but now they have many great pastries, take credit card over phone or instore and you can go in or they will bring to the car contactless. Wonderrful people working there.. Pastries include half moons, whoopie pies, cupcakes, rugelach, strudel, cakes inc old school honey, sponge apple etc. and pies. Try to get a challah hot from the oven. Bring your own butter and devour it in your car while its steaming hot!

The challah is awesome. The new treats they have like Whoopee Pies, frozen dough and blueberry muffins are great. So glad they will be getting renovations as well.

I finally found a local chall that is delicious! No more Whole Foods challah for us. Love supporting this local business. Also, the cinnamon bread is absolutsly delicious- have them slice it for you! Reminds me of childhood. Yes, it's sketchy on the inside. They aren't going for ambiance here. But the kitchen is very clean, and the challah and cinnamon bread are delicious. CASH ONLY! If you are passing by the Dunkin' Donuts/Scoops Ice Cream on Lowell street in Peabody (it's behind there), and have $5- get the cinnamon bread.

Best breads anywhere... All the food is kosher so you know you're getting the very best quality... Prices are great... Trader Joe's buys from here and then private labels stuff... So you know the food is top notch

Website is highly inaccurate. They advertise "lactose free" cheese cake. I visited their Peabody location and it looked more like a warehouse for bread than a "bakery". The showcases were empty (no pastries etc). So, why are they even advertising on the internet? Also, when I mentioned the lactose free cheese cake to a worker who was making bread, she said they haven't had that in years and it isn't her job to fix the website.
