I eat in this lovely spot quite often! This is the best place to to have a good dinner. I go there many times. The cooking is excellent, the workers are courteous and the payment is good. I enjoy going in this restaurant for a decent dinner.

Me and my husband have been to the orta in pembroke and have enjoyed the food so we expected good things. However... We got takeout...the mushroom flat bread and pasta and meatballs. The flat bread literaly had like 8 tiny pieces of mushroom on it. The flatbread itself was thin, hard, and cold. And you could barely taste the truffle oil. We opened it and literally were speechless. The pasta and sauce was something that tasted like it was from a sub shop. The sauce tasted like raw tomato and water. No sauce stuck to our pasta and the portion size was NOTHING. The only reason I'm giving this two stars is because the meatball was good. Needless to say we are super disappointed. Absolutely not worth the money we spent.

We love fine dining and don't often venture into Boston any longer. What a joy to have Orta so close to us! We are never disappointed by any aspect of our visit. We can choose to dine--linger over our drinks--or come in for a relaxing but brief stay. The food is ALWAYS superb and the service typically excellent. We visited again last night and nothing has changed. The owner/bartender mixes an incredible drink and clearly takes pride in everything delivered to each table. I have no idea why this establishment isn't better known, but we will always make it the destination for a special night out!

Went last Friday (Valentine's Day) and had a great experience. Management went out of the way to make the night better, and I could not speak more highly of this restaurant. Excellent food, fast service, and a friendly atmosphere!

This restaurant is horrible. The chicken part was a huge mushy mess. Burnt chicken in a pile of bad red sauce. Ziti was so over cooked it had no taste and was like mashed potatoes. Gave up on this place a long time ago. Had to go there as it was the only available place for Valentine's Saturday so we gave it another try. The pizza is ok so I gave it a one. The manager is a young kid who offered us desert or a free drink to make up for the lousy food but never offered to take it off the bill. Never again to this place.

A Message to the owners of this restaurant: Get back into your business I was recommended Orta for a business party of 7 at 6 PM. Orta is a Tuscan looking place with a bar in the back and two rooms for about 50 tables The waitress was prompt with drinks and salads Then the wheels came off At about 7:45, we were wondering where the food was. It was a reasonable request after 90 minutes The response was "Sorry but the kitchen is incompetent" Whoa. It may be the truth, but in this case, you may want to say: Sorry our chef just had his leg amputated and is hopping around as best he can.. Or anything other than saying the obvious At about 8:30, the manager came over and apologized. He was a nice kid, like the waitress If he, like the waitress, had been trained, the experience could have been better. They both were likable and wanted to do good work. They just need the tools to do so At 8:40, our food arrived. I think it was good. I have been intermittently fasting, so I ate quickly. It was over in about 5 minutes Everyone else liked the food So to the owners: You are on a busy street on an up and coming section of town Find your passion again. Train your staff, and get in the kitchen to help when necessary Or sell it to someone who will

Was there last night (VALENTINE'S Day). We had a reservation so really no wait. Food was delicious I had mussels on a saffron broth wow. Then I had seared tuna with sticky rice and baby bock choy, everything was cooked to perfection.The service was great, the atmosphere perfect for an intimate dinner. Would definitely recommend. Next time it will be pizza.

I’ve eaten all around the world, and I must say I was blown away by the steak tartare that was on the Valentine’s Day menu. This needs to be a regular menu item. Seriously SO good. One of the best I’ve ever tried. The balance of flavors were on point. I savored every bite. I also loved the calamari! Perfect kick of heat and acid. It is obvious that each dish is prepared with careful detail and technique. We also had the Carbonara and Sirloin. Both dishes were excellent. Our waitress was also wonderful and engaging. She kept checking on us, prompt with clearing the table and bringing new silverware, and had a flare of genuine enjoyment being there. But seriously though, that steak tartare.... I need that in my life.
