New ownership update: It’s not the same, but it’s still phenomenal.

Finally had the opportunity to stop by since Food Court changed ownership. I ordered too much, because the whole menu looked delicious - and it was. Killer short rib small plate (which, in Food Court tradition, was pretty much an entree). Pretzel bites are super fresh. The bolognese is AMAZING. It’s still tops. Long live the Food Court!

Update from the second visit and a TL:DR = Go to Food Court. Order anything on the menu that has ingredients you don't hate. Enjoy the hell out of it. It's just that simple.

Food Court is now in my Top 3 restaurants for the South Shore, Cape and Islands. Top 5 for the North East (including New York). And is in my all-time Global top 10 for everything on the menu being just ridiculously good.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

First experienced the Food Court at Second Wind Brewery over the course of a few weekends and based on the food I had at the brewery alone, I was expecting great things when they finally opened. I'm happy to say I was not disappointed.

The food inside the restaurant is even better than what they served at Second Wind. I had (I shared these, I promise) Deviled Eggs, Brussels Sprouts, Warm Roasted Beets, Spare Ribs, and Crispy Chicken Thigh...

Everything was delicious. The portions are generous - particularly for the prices. This is a good thing. DO NOT be afraid to order the small plates. I had assumed we would end up ordering most of the small plates, but we were almost full from just the apps.

Food Court does NOT do tiny "small plates" that you're going to feel bad for sharing. There's plenty in each app or small plate for two people to share, and if you're a group of four, there's still plenty for everyone to get a real portion. The same goes for the apps -they were more like family-sized sides... which again, is a very good thing.

The only down-side here, is that I want to order all the same things again, but also try new things... so I'm either going to have to bring a couple more friends (working on that), or surrender to taking home leftovers.

Examples of generosity: Deviled Eggs - 6 halves; Brussels Sprouts - Giant heaping bowl; Roasted Beets - Lost count; Spare Ribs - 6 good-sized ribs; and the chicken thigh was the smallest of the bunch with one large crispy juicy chicken thigh on top of creamy savory grits.

Go here, order whatever sounds good or interesting. You won't be disappointed. You're going to get more than your money's worth in both quantity and - more importantly - quality.

SECOND VISIT UPDATE:

The all-too-critical second visit has occurred. I am VERY PLEASED to report it was even better than the first.

This time we added some cocktails and entrees. The pear salad? Superb. The Roasted Chicken. Perfection. We ordered the ribs again, still fantastic. But there were two absolute stand-out stars tonight.

First, I almost never order Pork Belly, because it is (at most other places) just chunks of pork fat and very little actual meat. I am delighted to report that the Pork Belly Small Plate was not only INCREDIBLY meaty, but also phenomenally delicious. I WILL be ordering this again next time (also, when Food Court starts having brunch, they NEED to have a Pork Belly Benedict on the menu... Please?)

The second stand-out was dessert. I rarely order dessert... but had to try it. We had the flour-less chocolate cake. HOLY $#!* it was good. But the KILLER was the home-made Caramel Ice Cream that came with it. I don't know who's home it was made in, but I want to live there. Just outrageously delicious.

Also, a word on the cocktails. We had six between us, different each time, and all were incredibly tasty. There's

New owner/menu. Used to love the place, but walked out after appetizers as the food was not great. Will miss the old food court.

Food Court has always been our favorite restaurant in Plymouth and when it closed for a few months, we were very sad. Their food was inventive and incredible, the cocktails were very high-end and creative, and their service was amazing. So we were very happy to go there again when it reopened! However, we couldn't have been more disappointed when we recently returned. The service was terrible, the cocktails were awful (and it had been known for amazing craft cocktails), and the food was really mediocre. They no longer even have a select cocktail menu. So we went traditional and ordered a Cosmo and a Manhattan which were the worst we have ever had, by far. I don't know how you can mess those drinks up but believe me, they were terrible and very expensive. We couldn't believe how awful our experience was. Unfortunately, we will not return. What happened? This is not the place that we knew and loved.

The new owner and staff are very nice. The food is absolutely delicious. I like that the new owner kept some of the previous owners popular menu items but also put her own spin on the menu. The pretzels, spareribs and gyros particularly are delicious.

The chef is a genius when it comes to flavor combinations! I am a local and I always love coming in and seeing variety on the menu, which changes seasonally. One of my absolute favorite restaurants of all time and this is someone who lived in NYC most of their life.

I popped in last Saturday and instantly fell in love with everything (white noise cocktal=HELL YES) to the totally lovely staff that took care of us during a hasty retreat out (boooooo!). NeverMIND how dope the food was. My reason to come down to Plymouth went up in smoke, but I WILL BE BACK ❤️

I stopped by Food Court following some after-work errands. (They have a six percent cash-back promotion on Upside right now, and I'm trying to max out my gas discount for next month.) Some of my family had recommended it and I had been looking for an opportunity to check it out.Since I was all by myself (thanks, Eric Carmen!) I ate at the bar. At my server's recommendation, I had the Devil's Staircase West Coast IPA as my beverage and the umami-rich salted cod fried rice as my entree. Both were delicious. Had I not been so full after my meal, I would definitely have tried the evening dessert special!
