Ordered delivery. Received 3 out of the 4 sundae's ordered. Not Uber Eats mistake - 3 were bagged. Called the store and the 4th sundae was sitting there. No offer to make things right. Terrible customer service. No accountability. Stupidly expensive. Made an already bad day worse.

My favorite place to eat out. Super sweet, hard-working people, and the most iconic desserts. Very sad the ones on Cape disappeared.

customer is always right doesn't apply here. i'd rather drive 30 minutes out of my way to go to Middleborough. I came in today January 18, 2026 I placed an order and I asked for marshmallow on top and instead of getting marshmallow sauce I got a bunch of marshmallows sprinkles on top like a five-year-old and when I called to get it fixed because I spent $18 for my order for the two ice creams and they both had marshmallows all over them when I called to get it fixed she told me I was wrong and that's how it comes

Friendly’s in Plymouth, Massachusetts is a place many people associate with comfort, familiarity, and dependable food, and for the most part, this visit truly reflected that reputation. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. The restaurant was clean, well-kept, and quiet, largely because we arrived closer to closing time. At that point, there was only one other table dining and a few people at the counter enjoying ice cream, which actually made the experience feel relaxed and unhurried.
The food was genuinely very good. Everything we ordered arrived fresh, hot, and exactly as expected. Portions were generous, and the presentation showed care. The burgers were cooked properly, the fries were crisp and flavorful, and the classic Friendly’s menu items delivered that nostalgic taste the restaurant is known for. Dessert was a standout, as it usually is at Friendly’s — rich, creamy ice cream served in satisfying portions. The kitchen clearly did its job well, and there were no complaints whatsoever about the food quality.
Service during the meal itself was also positive. Our waitress was friendly and polite, took our order without issue, and checked in as needed. Because the restaurant was nearly empty, service felt attentive and personal. Drinks were handled promptly, and nothing felt rushed, even though it was close to closing time. Up until the very end, the experience was smooth and enjoyable.
Unfortunately, the visit ended on a sour note. When it came time to pay, we handed the waitress cash. She took the money, said “have a good night,” and walked away. She never mentioned returning with change, and at first we assumed she might be coming back. After waiting, it became clear that she was not returning at all. Given how quiet the restaurant was — with only one other table and a few people at the ice cream counter — it was hard to believe this was due to being busy or distracted.
This moment overshadowed what had otherwise been a very pleasant experience. The issue wasn’t about tipping or generosity; it was about clarity and professionalism. If the assumption was that the remaining cash was a tip, that should never be left unspoken. Customers shouldn’t be put in an uncomfortable position or left wondering what happened to their change, especially when everything else during the visit had gone so well.
It’s disappointing because Friendly’s is known as a family-friendly, trustworthy place where people feel comfortable bringing kids and relaxing over a meal. A simple misunderstanding or lack of communication at the end can undo an entire evening’s worth of good impressions.
Overall, Friendly’s in Plymouth has great food, a pleasant atmosphere, and the potential for consistently excellent service. However, the way the payment was handled left a negative final impression. With clearer communication and more attention to the checkout process, this location could easily provide a complete and satisfying experience from start to finish.
I was there on January 24, 2026

The food was really good, further more, the service was quick and easy, and the atmosphere was pleasant and peaceful. Definitely would recommend if you would like to avoid the more fancier restaurants in downtown Plymouth.
Parking: Directly in front of the establishment.
