My sister and I have been coming to Plymouth every summer for our entire lives, and we’re fiercely loyal to our seasonal coffee tradition at Marylou’s. We are hard pressed to disrupt that, since we don’t have it during the colder months. That said, Plimoth General Store has us driving past Marylous and making the 20 minute drive there and back—it is SO good.

Yesterday, we popped in for coffee and were completely blown away. My sister ordered the Toasted Coconut specialty iced coffee, and I went for the Maple Brown Sugar. Both came topped with cold foam and matching garnishes—coconut for hers, cinnamon for mine. They were so good we practically inhaled them. I’ll admit it: the Toasted Coconut was the clear winner, and I’m heading back today for one in a bigger size.

I also grabbed the Mayflower Melt turkey sandwich—excellent from the first bite. I was on the fence about ordering, but the lovely employee who helped us, Olivia, mentioned that any sandwich could be made as a half. Genius! It was just enough to try without feeling too committed.

Speaking of Olivia—she was superb. Warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind, she walked us through the coffee menu, answered all our questions, and made the whole experience even better. Thanks Olivia!

And then there’s the store itself—coffee plus shopping? Yes, please. We wandered through their beautifully curated merchandise and left thinking about all the people we need to tell about this hidden gem.

10/10—Plimoth General Store is easily my new favorite coffee spot in town.

If you're anywhere near Plymouth and not stopping by the Plimouth General Store, you're seriously missing out. This charming spot somehow manages to feel like a cozy local secret and a culinary powerhouse all at once. The service? Impeccable. Friendly faces, fast service, and the kind of genuine hospitality that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in.

Now, let’s talk food — specifically, the Harvest Sandwich. This masterpiece is hands-down one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Chicken salad, cranberries, bacon and lettuce all come together on fresh, sourdough bread. Every bite was packed with flavor and care.

And the lemonades? Incredible. Refreshing, vibrant, and just sweet enough without being overpowering. Whether you go for the classic or one of their flavors, it’s the perfect drink to complement your meal — especially on a sunny afternoon.

Between the top-tier food and warm, attentive service, the Plimouth General Store is easily one of my favorite stops in the area. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or lingering over conversation, this place delivers every time. 10/10 – can’t wait to come back!

Went in on Monday since I wanted to try something in the area and there were great review. Overall quite disappointed. The inside isn't too bad, but the coffee is quite expensive. My main issue was how the staff treated a customer who came before me. After he left I saw them actively laughing and making fun of him and imitating his behavior, even though he was very polite to them. It made me very uncomfortable and ruined the experience for me.

There is a limited seating area but the shop is wonderful! There is a limited lunch menu but adequate.
They had two clean bathrooms.

My girlfriend and I patroned Plimouth General Store in 2024 when we visited the area and it was a great store to browse in. We purchased a mug and use it regularly. Well, I managed to drop and break it recently. I reached out via email and asked if I could purchase a replacement as we live multiple states away. They sent one free of charge and even paid for the shipping. That was very generous and classy of them. From my perspective, they are a stand up business for doing that. Thank you Plimouth General Store, I will recommend you to everyone I know who goes to vacation nearby.

This place is exactly what downtown Plymouth has needed for YEARS.
IMO, it’s the only place to get a decent cup of coffee in downtown Plymouth.
Their sandwiches are phenomenal. You will not find any cheap, processed deli meats here. Everything is whole and fresh.
Aside from the food, this is the perfect place to get a special , unique gift for someone. If you are on vacation here this is the place to go for meaningful Plymouth souvenirs. You won’t find any kitschy trinkets, rather beautiful things that you’ll love to display in your home.
Don’t forget to go to the Wine & Beer cellar in the back, either!

This store is incredible! It’s cozy, welcoming, has everything you might want and then so many things you didn’t realize you wanted. My only wish is they would open a store in Needham where I live. This is the kind of store you love wandering around, over and over again.
