Avoid this place. Bill is miserable and wants everyone else to be miserable too. He publicly humiliated two elderly women this weekend. I wish I could reach out and make sure they’re okay. If either of you ladies read this, please know you have the right to report this man to elder services. We will never again go near this restaurant. Totally disgusting.

Nice ambience when you walk in the door and then it was downhill from there. The hostess looked annoyed when seating us at our table and the waitress was not engaging with minimal eye contact. Three tables were seated after we arrived and we were basically ignored receiving drinks like 20 minutes later when the other tables had been served appetizers. When I asked if we could order I got an another annoyed look. The, "special ," with cod looked like a defrosted filet with no presentation. The spaghetti carbonara had greasy bacon in it, not crispy. Waitress did not come back to ask if we wanted anything else or how was everything? My husband and I couldn't wait to get out of there. Maybe I expected too much.

The food was mediocre. The service was so bad. Our server rolled her eyes and waved her hands at us. I've never seen anything like it nor have I ever been treated like this. One comment to us was "if I remember" and another time she said " I only have two hands". awful awful.

We've walked by 9 Ryder for years without really noticing it was there. Someone mentioned enjoying their food a while back and we were able to get a last-minute reservation Sunday. The building itself is pretty dumpy - but it's over the water which of course is a huge pull for some. You're there for the food though, and the food did indeed turn to be quite amazing. I had cod on fresh vegetables which was some of the best fish I've had. My friends were equally impressed with their pasta dishes. Awesome waiter Billy made great suggestions and was so pleasant at the end of a long night's shift. Highly recommend for great Ptown dining!

I’ll start with the positive: Our waitress was wonderful! The food fell far short of expectations. “Flat” was an adjective used by a couple of the people at our table. The broiled sole I ordered lacked any seasoning and seemed to be water logged. The al burro pasta side I ordered was somehow also just flavorless. The “side” of seasonal vegetables was scant, a garnish really. Pity. As a former Provincetown year rounder And vacationer for 40 years, I was excited to re-live the experience of the original restaurant operated by Sal DelDeo. This didn’t come close.

Cold bread. Canned artichoke. Pasta swimming in water. Bland marinara on pasta side tasted like canned tomato soup with canned salsa. Such a cute place. Such a great waiter. Such a great setting on the wharf. So disappointed. Oh well.
Fabulous Restaurant, meal, drinks, dessert & staff. You will not be disappointed!!

This place was so good. Our waiter Eric was the best he made great recommendations for our meals! I have eaten in the north end in Boston and federal hill in providence an I have to say this was the best Italian meal I have ever had. It was so good we went two days in a row.
