I’ll start with the positive: Our waitress was wonderful! The food fell far short of expectations. “Flat” was an adjective used by a couple of the people at our table. The broiled sole I ordered lacked any seasoning and seemed to be water logged. The al burro pasta side I ordered was somehow also just flavorless. This place was so good. Our waiter Eric was the best he made great recommendations for our meals! I have eaten in the north end in Boston and federal hill in providence an I have to say this was the best Italian meal I have ever had. It was so good we went two days in a row.

We've walked by 9 Ryder for years without really noticing it was there. Someone mentioned enjoying their food a while back and we were able to get a last-minute reservation Sunday. The building itself is pretty dumpy - but it's over the water which of course is a huge pull for some. You're there for the food though, and the food did indeed turn to be quite amazing.
