Can‘t recommend - bouncers & staff does not take action when visitors get harassed & intimidated from other guest(s) inside. Some visitors were are very territorial of this space and aren’t welcoming to any other parts of the rainbow community except white gay cis men.

The AHOUSE is the most iconic, most popular, longest running LGBTQ nightclub in Provincetown (arguably in the whole US) The complex features 8 different bars, including the Little Bar, a fun neighborhoody “everyone knows your name” sort of spot, the Macho Bar for the rugged Leather & Levi’s crowd along with a spacious dance club featuring renowned DJs from the LGBTQ club scene; multiple bars and a large outdoor area. Although being an LGBTQ safe space the club is all welcoming to those who respect others and the vibe of the establishment. First opened in 1798, serving as a tavern, an inn, and briefly as a courthouse, and frequented by such notable names as Tennessee Williams, Eugene O’Neil, and Marlon Brando, the AHOUSE is a stop on any Provincetown vacation not to be missed. Take the negativity in some of those other reviews with a grain of salt; the staff here are wonderful people .. individuals who are too intoxicated or behaving poorly understandably may have a negative experience but remember there are two sides to every story !! I ❤️ the AHOUSE and I am sure you will too!

It was raining and my friends and I were the only people in the line. The bouncer yelled at us to stand in the rain to figure out how we would pay the cover, and then yelled that he wouldn't let us in if we didn't get out of line, even though no one else was behind us. Never seen such a mean hearted, unnecessarily aggressive bouncer. The few friends who entered said the music was mid

Interesting place, nice music, but the bartender is a beggar. You pay $20 to get in, then $12 for a drink, and you're asked if you can give him another dollar. They have no shame! I don't understand how you can ask for a tip for pouring a drink that took 10 seconds...

Best place in town. A cool space with some heritage and connection to the community. Nice bar staff and great customer base. Drinks cheap and cash only and worth every moment in living history. Brilliant! Wouldn’t change a

Bartender on the 1st floor with suspenders, ignored me after various attempts to get his attention. Then served two non Latino clients who approached him after, and then told me “to not come back” when I didn’t leave him a tip. Here as tip: Treat people with decency and don’t disparage people when you don’t get congratulated for poor service.

A fun place for some drinks and dancing, but a $ 20 cover is a bit too much. Maybe a cover and 1 drink for free is more suitable. I know a lot of music and songs but somewho the dj manages to not play anything I recognise

I’m not sure what people expect based on some of these reviews…it’s a seedy bar and dance club, not a cocktail bar or Cheers. For what it is, it’s a silly, fun time. Drinks are basic, and the all cash model is obnoxious but is what it is.

I’m giving this place five stars because the DJ on both Saturday night and Sunday night turned it out. Some of the best house disco sets I’ve been to recently. Outside is a vibe, multiple bars, and diverse crowd. Only bummer is the place closes right when the dance party is getting good. Would recommend, place livens up at 11pm.

In general, the ambience at all three of these bars that are located within the same complex are great. The bartender at the Macho bar is especially friendly. Had a terrible experience last night with the bartender near the middle bathrooms (at the A house) who was completely rude and threatened to have me thrown out for asking what types of beer they serve. Im wondering if he was just agist since he was polite to the 20- somethings he served after me. I was completely flabbergasted and hope the management takes note of the several of the bad reviews regarding service.

The bar is racial, they don't allow me go to 2nd Fl. The guy behind me went to the 2nd Fl, has no problem.

Love this place, it's a staple. We all know Wayne needs a job, but please you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. It's time for Wayne to step aside so we can have some real music. All Wayne literally does is use a Spotify playlist, I swear over the past couple of year when you look at the DJ booth he's no where to be found.. which means he is in fact not a real DJ.

Arrived at Provincetown bear week 11th July) after 10 hours of travelling, my friend and I came to this bar to find they only took cash, I ordered 2 drinks (one alcoholic and one ginger ale) that came to $13 and tipped $2 as that was all we had. My friend went to get us more cash from an ATM. Unfortunately the bartender refused to serve us after that, putting his hand in my face as he walked by us to serve other people, we waited for about 20 minutes then just left. Completely unprofessional and I won’t be back or recommend this place to anyone.

I wonder what is the cover for? The DJ was a disaster anyone can tell he has no experience. Also the bartender at the little bar on the left facing the patio is so rude. They really need to instruct him before they lose all the clients. We had a water a RedBull and a drink for my partner it was $22 but they only take cash and we had 20 and my partner told him that he will go for cash, but he just snapped the RedBull out of my hands just because of the $2 difference. Later talking to another people it turned out that he is rude with everyone ?. He should. It be working on the night entertainment industry if he hates this job so much. The little bar upstairs had great music and the bartender was super friendly, but the bad experience made me feel so miserable and bad that I won’t comeback to this place for sure.

On a bachelorette trip to an area supposedly welcoming community and we were appalled at the disrespect we received. Getting into the bar we had a group of 16 people. 1 of us paid for all of us and they continued to take money from 3 of us without letting us know and then refused to give us our money back. On top of that, as we walked out we got a comment "you aren't welcome here". Beyond shocked at the treatment we received. Definitely do NOT recommend and will not be giving our money to them again.
