A space with 1700s money trading practices but with 2000s pricing. Cash only for both cover and drinks, with a steep $20 cover that stings when you can't just tap your card. By the time I scrounged up cash for cover alone, I wasn't about to figure out bar prices on top of it. Honestly, anything above a $5 cover and I'm not touching the drinks. It’s a lovely dark and fiery vibe, but some of the interactions with staff are so casually and almost performatively rude that they feel like something out of a TikTok video. The rudeness leaves you wondering if you actually heard the words that were said.

Normally, this is a bar that I look forward to visiting every year. I was just here on Saturday, was charged $20 for entry, and entered the bar to find that everything except for one room and the back patio was closed. When we asked the bartender, we were told that the night before was too slow so they wouldn't be opening the rest of the bar until next week. My problem, is that nobody was told before we paid a full cover charge that only a small amount of the bar was open. Sketchy...read full review
