“It is all about the journey to Provincetown and it always, always, a trip to the Monkey Bar. I have been a patron for almost 10 years. The energy, music, delicious meals that transport you to another realm, perpetual smiles of the crowd, and the closeness of the establishment. I call it a home away from home. An escape. A Smokey Monkey cocktail, Khao Soi, Red Hot Chili Peppers Sushi Roll, The Out of the World Potstickers, and an Espresso Martini, a perfect time for me at the Monkey Bar. Don’t forget to peak your head around and step into Johnny’s Thai Bistro; another amazing experience. See you there!“
“Great atmosphere, good location. Mike is an awesome bartender too, makes you feel right at home. Definitely recommend this place!!“
“Reading these reviews, but then being there on the weekend...
The bartender was as busy as that place gets. Its one of the last bars open in town and it packed with a lot of extremely loud people. The bartender was impressive! On the move and getting the drinks out quick. Hats off to which ever bartender runs that place at sundown. 5 stars for them
Atmosphere is dark and subtle. Red lighting all the way through. Nothing but leather. Try to wear something leather if you go there.“

“The AHOUSE is the most iconic, most popular, longest running LGBTQ nightclub in Provincetown (arguably in the whole US) The complex features 8 different bars, including the Little Bar, a fun neighborhoody “everyone knows your name” sort of spot, the Macho Bar for the rugged Leather & Levi’s crowd along with a spacious dance club featuring renowned DJs from the LGBTQ club scene; multiple bars and a large outdoor area. Although being an LGBTQ safe space the club is all welcoming to those who respect others and the vibe of the establishment. First opened in 1798, serving as a tavern, an inn, and briefly as a courthouse, and frequented by such notable names as Tennessee Williams, Eugene O’Neil, and Marlon Brando, the AHOUSE is a stop on any Provincetown vacation not to be missed. Take the negativity in some of those other reviews with a grain of salt; the staff here are wonderful people .. individuals who are too intoxicated or behaving poorly understandably may have a negative experience but remember there are two sides to every story !! I ❤️ the AHOUSE and I am sure you will too!“
