Out of four people we sent one meal back, two meals were mediocre at best, one was okay. And at an average of $35 a dish, the food should have been much much much better. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

Ciro & Sal’s is hands-down the best restaurant in Provincetown. I’ve been coming here since before I could walk, and it’s still the place I look forward to every time I visit. The atmosphere is charming and unique. The pasta (+ sauce) is consistently great. The portions of all dishes are generous here. Always reliable, always delicious. Highly recommend stopping by for dinner *with reservations!*

My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding reception and cocktail hour at Ciro & Sal's in Provincetown, and it was truly unforgettable. Under twinkling lights and cozy space heaters, we gathered with loved ones to enjoy oysters, meatballs, zucchini, and bruschetta that delighted every guest.

Ciro & Sal's went above and beyond, setting up a charming outdoor bar in the gazebo, in their patio area, a perfect spot for our welcome speech and the heartfelt toasts from our mothers. Inside, the intimate dining room—complete with two fireplaces and impeccable service—created a warm and elegant atmosphere. With another fireplace upstairs, where many of our friends were seated, conversation and laughter filled the room, drowning out the carefully curated jazz-inspired Spotify playlist I'd made for dinner.

The food was such a hit that several guests returned the very next night for another round of the chicken parm! After dinner, we moved outside for our first dance and the mother-son dances while the staff seamlessly transformed the upstairs into a lively dance floor--with a little help from our local DJ.

The combination of delicious Northern Italian cuisine, inviting ambiance, and attentive service made our celebration truly magical, perfectly capturing the timeless charm Ciro & Sal's has been known for since the 1950s. With its rustic elegance, flexible indoor and outdoor settings, and exceptional hospitality, Ciro & Sal's is the ideal venue for any special occasion. We couldn't have imagined a better place to share such a meaningful milestone with our family and friends—many of whom, proud of their Italian heritage, said Ciro & Sal's far exceeded their expectations.

Such a fun place! We sat at the bar and gabbed with anyone who’d talk to us. Unbelievable dishes, too!

In a town of sometimes middling and sometimes outright disappointing restaurants, Ciro & Sals consistently delivers. Last night was very busy and I was a bit fearful us wanting to split a single appetizer and entree would be met with resistance. The waiter was most gracious and told us to order only what we wanted without issue.

The salad was fresh and delicious and the veal was tender and equally lovely. Add strong drinks, a beautiful space, friendly vibe and reasonable prices considering the quality and it’s a regular and reliable stop on our P-town visits.

Service was great ! It's a landmark in PTown. Manager served us up stairs in the bar area, his knowledge of wine was great !!! The food was good as well !

Delicious fried zucchini appetizer. Chicken parm and Vodka sauce were exquisite as well.
The strawberries and sweet cream cheese dessert was underwhelming, should use fresh strawberries.
Service was good, not great as our server was also behind the bar upstairs. Our table felt a little forced.
Would definitely eat here again!

We were in P town for 2 nights and decided to dine here our first night. The space, staff, menu all seem tired. They have a pretty extensive menu - but the food was just okay. Nothing special about it - the bolognese was just lame. It was very pasta heavy with a weak serving of sauce that added nothing to the dish. The veal picatta was drowning in a gravy. We opted to have dessert elsewhere.
We went to Sals place for dinner the next night which was a breath of fresh air on all accounts!

Very surprised by the quality of service and food! Sat outside (highly recommend, they have heaters) and we ordered the fried Zucchini as an appetizer. I got the special pesto chicken pasta dish (see photo). Both were great, the pasta dish a solid 9.5/10.

We have wanted to eat here for a while because we’ve heard a lot of good things about it and I know people who have eaten here and they enjoyed their meals. We had the complete opposite experience. When we first entered, I thought the space was very cool, but it was pretty well crowded and noisy. For some reason, I thought it would be very quiet and intimate down here. We both started out with wine and I had glass of super Tuscan that was $22, it was OK, nothing special. My partner had a glass of Chardonnay and he thought it was a little bit pricey. The bread that was brought to the table was tasteless. The olive oil had no flavor at all. We shared the beet salad and it was OK. I ordered fettuccine with a Bolognese sauce and my partner had a chicken and shrimp dish with a vodka sauce. When the server ever put my meal down in front of me, I just sort of laughed. There had to be a pound of pasta in there and maybe 2 tablespoons of meat and really no sauce at all. I know what Bolognese sauce is, and I make it at home and I occasionally have it while we’re dining out and this was not Bolognese sauce. Whenever I order Bolognese sauce out, there’s always a lot of the sauce with the meat on top of the pasta, this was all mixed in and sparse. I was going to suck it up and eat it but then I just said I do that all the time, so when our server came over to ask how it was, I said there’s just about no meat in this at all and she even admitted that it’s usually meatier. You’ll see the picture that I posted. She offered to bring another dish and I accepted and it was a little better, but even like the first one the flavor was off, I don’t know how to describe it, but the sauce just wasn’t right. It tasted old and burned. My partner‘s dish, the pasta was undercooked, and the sauce was over salted. The chicken was cut in little tiny cubes and was coated in a batter. There were two shrimp in the dish. The total came to $140 before the tip. The wall next to our table was coated in dried food and probably never cleaned. To top it all off, I got up to use the men’s room before we left and I always make sure I lock the door and while I was doing my thing, a woman walked in on me. I guess the lock on the door doesn’t work. After my experience, it felt like a tourist trap. I was really disappointed.

Provide one small piece of bread for each person and charge when asked for more. Shouldn’t have been necessary at the prices.
