The best scallops I had in a very long time. Fast and friendly service. Seems to be packed all time, so better go for a reservation. Recommended!

The food was delicious, however, the service was not stellar due to the aloof nature of the waitress. The portion size of the Crab Lumache was very undersized in relation to the price. The gluten free jumbo shrimp was excellent and had larger portions. The raw oysters were very good. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable.

Vegetarian options: There are some options. Personally I like to the tofu lettuce wraps.Dietary restrictions: There are some vegetarian and gluten-free options on the menu.Parking: One of the few restaurants in Provincetown with a parking lot adjacent to the building.Wheelchair accessibility: Conveniently located on the first floor with no steps, and a clear runway to the restrooms which are also very roomy.

Please note that my giving this restaurant 2 stars is due specifically to one dish. We have been coming to Mac's for years and have never been disappointed. Food is always very good and fresh, and we have tried and have enjoyed many things on thier menu. This time, however, I decided to try something different...the crab lumanche. I realize that the Cape is not known for crabs....its more of a lobster, scallop, fish kind of area.....buy okay, I thought a seafood place should still be able to source a good supply of crab if they are going to advertise a dish like this. Well I was quite wrong. The dish was basically mac & cheese with maybe a hint of crab pieces mixed in. Look at the menu and see how they advertise this dish.....the first ingredient....FIRST......is lump crab meat! Call me crazy, but given that I was expecting to at least see some crab meat in my order!!! There was really none to speak of. Listen guys (if anyone from Mac's os bothering to read this).....don't advertise a dish with the first ingredient being lump crab if you aren't going to put any in it. Call it what it is....mac & cheese with a hint of crab. I wouldn't have ordered this, and paid $30 for it, if I knew what it really was. Sorry for this review, but it it is the truth and you should be ashamed to offer a dish like this with that kind of title and price without its main ingredient. Its really false advertising and I would highly recommend not getting it if you were in the mood for or expecting some kind of actual crab dish.

I've been many times and it's always been great. I'm hoping the horrible service this one time is just a fluke.

Recently moved to P Town. Finally made our way out of downtown to try someplace different. All I can say is when I spend over 300.00 dollars on dinner, the last thing I expect is a waiter hovering over me with a credit card machine drooling in anticipation of the tip. How about leaving me a bill, going away so as I can finish my cocktail while finalizing things. What an end of the evening experience, terrible. Unfortunately my money will stay in town. Again, what a terrible way to treat customers at the end. Who actually thought this was a good idea In what can be a pricey night out?

Wonderful food. I had scallops with brussel sprouts in an incredible sauce. Others had lobster roll, salmon and cod. We all loved our dinners. Great waiter too.

Our waiter was very accommodating and friendly, but didn’t have such a strong grasp of the new menu.We ordered the pumpkin beer, which was very nice, and a Guinness. Unfortunately, the Guinness was much shallower than a normal Guiness, missing the characteristic smooth creaminess and depth. Our waiter kindly offered to exchange it for another beer. For appetizer we had the calamari, which was very delicious. The calamari was crunchy and had a nice strong squid flavor. For entrees we had the crab lumache (something like this) and the potato crusted cod with lobster chowder. The crab was fine, but not amazing and not worth $30. The cod was bland, and the lobster in the chowder was over cooked and rubbery.

We ate at a few places in PTown over four days. Mac's was by far the best dinner hands down. The food was fresh, tasted great, and had large portions. Service was timely and attentive. Cocktails were also tasty and creative. If we found them sooner, we would have more meals here. Kudos Mac's! Outdoor dining was a huge plus as well!

Came across this place and decided to have dinner. To our surprise we were there 15 minutes before Happy Hour ended (1/2 price oysters)! Whoo hoo!Seated immediately. No waiter, no water for 20 minutes. Place was not busy at all. Just about ready to find a manager when our waiter showed up. Finally able to ask for a dozen oysters at happy hour price...our waiter then had to ask US for the time and then we were told no. We explained our situation and had to get a manager involved. Place started getting busy. Waiter was not personable & VERY slow regarding everything...even walking around with his hands in his pockets while other staff were hustling. Oysters, clam chowder, fish & chips and salmon poke bowl were all outstanding! Atmosphere was great! Waiter brought the bill and stood there with the card reader waiting for us to pay up. This was the only time he seemed to move with purpose. I can definitely recommend this place for it's food/ atmosphere and I'll come back as I truly believe we just got a bad waiter, but it did detract from our first experience. I ALWAYS tip very well when people work hard...this guy earned exactly what I gave him.
