“We came for lunch where we were greeted by very friendly staff, the space is a bit dated, as is the old furniture...but the cocktails were excellent, the main course of fried squid and grilled octopus very tasty and delicious and of course the Pinot grigio- Friuli 🥰 you have to try it All in all, high praise for everything and every recommendation“

The owner welcomed us with grace and kindness and told us that if it wasn't to our liking, he would make it right. We were gifted Rice Pudding (the cinnamon....oy vey!) and Baklava. Will be back every time I go to Mass General for treatment.“

“First visit today, although we live somewhat in the neighborhood and I am already kicking myself for not having got here sooner. Red tabbouleh spicing was very punchy and vivid. Allspice in the stuffed grape leaves make them worth coming back for, not something I think I've ever said about stuffed grape leaves before. Most unforgettable was the red lentil soup with its soft rich velvety texture over two or three layers of different delicious flavors. Great first impression, can't wait to go back, solid A leaning toward A+.“

“My husband and I sat outside and had a lovely snack in the sun, away from most of the hustle & bustle that October brings to Salem. We thoroughly enjoyed the butternut squash hummus, falafel, and cauliflower & quinoa tabouleh but the real highlight for us was the apple cider! Holy. It was the best we had on our trip around New England. Not too sweet, served nice & hot, lightly spiced and so, so good! The service was wonderful as well! “We stopped by here on Halloween needing some fuel for our trip to Salem! It did not disappoint! We were welcomed with smiles and free falafel tasters. It was a Friday special so we had extra falafel with the falafel bowl order too. I ordered the falafel bowl, which was INCREDIBLE! My husband had another bowl which I can't remember what it was called but it had egg in it - he also enjoyed this. There is a small seating area inside and some additional seats on the street. “Five of us went for an early dinner. Everything was exceptionally fresh and delicious. The pita bread is to die for. We ordered Latkes (nice and crisp, very good); chicken shawarma (delicious-- love the pickled vegetables in the pita sandwich); the lamb burger (my husband can't stop talking about how good it was); the hummus bowl, and the street cart rice bowl. In short, everything was excellent AND affordable (something that rarely happens in the Boston area these days). We will be coming back, frequently. Be advised that the setting is more like a cafeteria than a restaurant, simple and modest, where you walk up to the counter to order. They have a few drinks where you can add a shot of alcohol but that's not their focus.“

I forgot to grab the chef’s name, but whoever was behind the food that night deserves a big shoutout. You can tell there’s real love and skill going into the cooking here.
