Dont come here for fish, no steamers and no haddock/fish and chips. Opted for fried scallops. Unsure if they where microwaved/frozen or both the batter was not crispy as it should be nor where they even browned and where rubbery. Not many options to eat in rockport at 7pm on a weekend. The oysters in half shell where good. Plenty of french fries. Coleslaw was typical, tarter sauce came in a prepackaged kens container. Staff was friendly though constantly pushing drinks. Not worth the $60 dollars. Should have went to brackets instead.

This is a "location" restaurant, can't get much better location. Six of us went in around 2pm on a very nice, sunny Sunday. It was quite busy, but we were sat within 5mins. We were on the lower floor, inside (furthest from water).
The wait to order was v-e-r-y long, we could see the waitress was busy taking an order from a very large table. Upon ordering, the waitress was very nice. The food came out super fast. Food was average and for nearly $40 the lobster roll & fries was nothing special, was on the small size. Drinks were good. Location is perfect, *IF* you are seated on the water side, otherwise, the food & price is not worth it.

A little bit of a wait but hardly anyone there. The steamers were way too sandy and dirty. The broth to rinse them in completely dirty as well. Wouldn't recommend.

We recently visited 7th Wave Restaurant at the end of summer with friends visiting from out of the country. We were seated at a table on the second floor, which wasn’t particularly busy at the time. After about five minutes of being seated, we placed our orders and noticed three empty tables with a seaside view on the same floor. We politely asked our server if we could move to one of those tables, given that nothing had been served yet. He told us he needed to check with the host first.
A few minutes later, he returned and informed us that we were not allowed to move. Confused, I inquired why, especially since the tables were still unoccupied and didn’t appear to be reserved. The server explained that the host had decided we couldn't switch tables after being seated. Frankly, I found this to be an incredibly disappointing and baffling approach to customer service.
While the restaurant does boast a nice view, the ambiance is marred by cheap tables and plastic chairs that detract from the experience. As for the food, it left much to be desired. I ordered the steak tips, requesting them medium, but they arrived undercooked and nearly raw inside. Even worse, the broccoli served with it appeared to have remnants of other food on it, as if it had been taken from another plate. Needless to say, I didn't eat it.
The "Big Grilled Cheese" was misleadingly named, as it was the same size as the kids' grilled cheese, just served with more fries and on a larger plate. It was also dry and not well-prepared. The clam chowder was just average—nothing special.
Overall, I cannot recommend 7th Wave Restaurant. There are many other dining options on Bearskin Neck in Rockport that offer better food, a more pleasant dining experience, and most importantly, value customer satisfaction.

Don't go! I had a disappointing experience with poor service and subpar food. Pricey for what they offer.
Disappointing Experience with Poor Service and Subpar Food
Slow and inefficient service paired with mediocre food and terrible drinks. One of our guests remained without cutlery until after their food arrived despite us telling the server multiple times. If we ever requested multiple items (eg napkins + ketchup), the server would only bring one out and forget about the other. The shrimp plate was a pitifully small portion. The fish was bland. Burger was under seasoned. The margarita tasted like watered down tequila. Sangria tasted like carbonated grape juice. Cannot recommend this place.

Me and my sister came here on a Saturday around 5:30PM. We both got the fish and chips and it was a decent amount of food for the $25 price and we both enjoyed it. I also got a drink wit rum and it was good and my sister got a glass of wine.
We sat upstairs, just a heads up the stairs a VERY STEEPD sO be careful! We got a nice outdoor ocean view and it was very pretty.

Food was fine. I paid 40 dollars for the clam plate and left still very hungry because the portion was so small. Probably not gonna go again.

Mary far exceeded all expectations! Such a great experience from start to finish. The patio deck has such an amazing atmosphere and view of the water. Every staff member was attentive and on point. Mary was beyond hospitable and made our experience that much better.

We looked at the menu online and decided to go there it seemed reasonable and the food looked very good when we got there the prices we saw online in no way matched the prices on the menu when I mentioned this to the waitress she said that the owner is too busy to change the menu online and that may be someday she will??!!!! We payed double the price for everything and the food was ho-hum and not a lot of it! Better places around that aren't as expensive and the food is better.
Real tasty food with fast service! We sat outside on the patio overlooking the bay. I did notice some imperfections in the exterior trim but I cannot help that as I am a master carpenter. We ate the haddock sandwich and the swordfish chop, both were delicious. Would definitely recommend when visiting Rockport.
