I’ve loved their Strudel since the 1980’s. My first time trying it was at the Christmas Show in Charlotte NC. I’ve literally gone to events because they were going to be there. This past weekend I attended the Christmas made in the South show in Concord NC. The first place I go is to get their cheese Strudel. They have changed the cheese filling. It’s like vanilla pudding! Nooo! The original was perfect! The apple was fine. I hope this is just a fluke.

Helmut's is a great little place (emphasizing little place). They have good coffee and pastries and have a friendly staff always wiling to serve. They even have a fountain in front with some benches where you can enjoy a nice snack and do some people watching. Highly recommend.

I didn't think I liked strudel until I had it from Helmut's. We bought a strawberry cream and a raspberry cream strudel to split. They were so fresh, fluffy, and flavorful. We also bought a cinnamon roll that I didn't get to try but I was told it was delicious. Fresh coffee was hot and good too.

The most delicious food in town. Also, they have not claimed this business on Google and the hours are completely wrong. It's almost June and they're only open on the weekends, I would've already spent hundreds by this time in the season so kinda glad they're closed ?
