We really wanted to like Whale’s Jaw, not just because of the sign at the entrance saying “Whalecome”, but the menu looked terrific. The fig and cheddar sandwiches were tasty but the wait was over 30 minutes and the restaurant only had 3-4 occupied tables. Would I say the sandwiches were good or was the old saying about hunger being the best spice true? Maybe both. The band playing was a unexpected treat. Stopped by our first night in town (Friday) and didn’t know what to expect. There was live music and a pretty packed house. Food and drinks are ordered at the bar and delivered to your table. Everything we had was excellent.
What a wonderful place to find! I have a feeling each person who discovers this hidden gem, will feel the same marvel I did, when I stepped inside! Live music in the daytime? Yes, yes, yes! Thank you for all you do with your lovely vibes. And damn good coffee!!
