“The service was excellent--so welcoming. The wine prices are fair, and the wines by the glass are a very nice poor. The tables are nicely spaced out. The bread is delicious as is the olive oil dip that comes with it. The portions are large, so we were able to take some leftovers home. I loved the angel hair pasta and the chicken with eggplant. The chicken with broccoli rabe and beans was very good. The arancini portion was huge and nicely filled with broccoli. The eggplant appetizer was good, but I would have preferred it if the eggplant was fried first. But this ristorante is a destination stop. Go! You won't be sorry.“

“We were very excited to try the Blue Marlin from reviews we’ve seen. I have to mention our initial reaction was a little sketchy when we first entered and encountered the hostess. She looked at my family (including me, my wife & 2 adult daughters) and asked… “What can I do for you?” with an unwelcoming look on her face we interpreted to mean What are you people doing here? If we weren’t celebrating my wife’s birthday I probably would have left. She brought us to our table, literally threw the menus on the table and said someone would be with us. THANKFULLY, our server came and was super friendly. Everything else went well. The food was pretty good and seemed fresh. We also enjoyed the atmosphere. The only other slight disappointment, though not a big thing, was I mentioned my wife’s birthday to our server but no special recognition was afforded her. “We finally were able to get in here. Let me just say it was amazing. Everything was great. Dean our server was awesome. I would highly recommend going if you haven’t been. We had the lobster rangoons for the app. For dinner we had the Lazy lobster with Pillows. We can’t wait to go back. Now we understand why it’s hard to get in here. Make reservations in advance. “I have been meaning to write a review for a while- if you haven't been to 5 Sons and/or haven't used them for catering before - DO IT!! I have gotten catering a few times from Jen and she is not only such a great person she is an even better cook. They are accommodating to what you need, offer suggestions you may not consider, reasonable pricing and delivered with a huge smile. Their pizza is the best in town by far but their Italian dishes are home cooked amazing! They have a grab and go section with meatballs/sauce, eggplant parm, stuffed shells, pasta primavera- one is enough for me, my two teenagers and some left over! Remember 5 Sons for you next catering event or Friday night pizza order- you will not regret it!!“

“Good Italian food here. But...In every restaurant I have ever eaten in, and I have eaten in many. When a plate is placed with a human hair on it in front of the customer and that customer has to wait while the food is replated and others in the party start eating. It is customarily expected for the restaurant to deduct from the bill as an apology. Not here. This surprised me and premotes my reluctance on returning.“

The service has been great and the servers have been attentive, observing the needs of the table before we need to ask. The location is clean and very welcoming with a unique atmosphere. “Shout out to PV. Website says open until 9:30. Had a kid's event and this place was fortunately still open. We rolled in at 8:45. No customers were in but us (bc really, peeps don't eat that late (this was a Tuesday). Some lights were on and it almost looked like they were settling up to call it a night. We were greeted immediately and given a table. The server seemed a bit surprised (maybe annoyed or tired from a long day. Not their fault, we are all human) that we rolled in essentially right before they were about to close, but they jumped right into serving us. We got linguine and clams, and the bolognese. Food was so good! I offered to settle the check right when food got to the table so they could close us out and move on with their night but they weren't having it. “We have not been to the restaurant yet, but based on the take out we got, we will. We were on our way out of town and picked up some treats and premade meals for our mini vacation. Meat lasagna, refrigerated was fabulous. Enough for 2 servings, very meaty, like you would make yourself. I think part of what made it wonderful was the great red sauce (gravy). I'd get that again. I would say, best meat lasagna I have had outside of my house. ;-) We got a couple of chicken dinners too, one was piccata and one was parm with spaghetti. Both very good. The only criticism I would make, is that the chick parm had a couple layers of chicken and cheese only on the top. I'd have liked it between the layers, too. The half moons, or black and whites, were perfect. They were large, with a white vanilla cake bottom and super frosting on top. So so so good. I went back a few weeks later when I was visiting a friend who loves the Italian cookies and got some to bring to her. She loved them and she is very fussy. 4 stars only because of the lack of more cheese, and the prices, which were not great.“

“Celebrated mom's 91st birthday at 1pm. Waitstaff couldn't be better, never was rushed to order appetizers, meals or dessert. Seemed to be there when we needed another round. Food was plentiful and well prepared, some in our party were very particular on how to prepare their entrée and the staff didn't disappoint.“

“Pizza was amazing, we had the oregano and margarita pizzas. Pizza is on the thinner side of the Pizza dough spectrum. Perfect combo of crispy and chewy. Also, this place had the best baba ganoush ever. I've had baba ganoush in Washington DC, New York city, and plenty of small towns and Oreganos by far beats the competition. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing Pizza, appetizers, and entrees. Lovely owner, managers, and staff all around.“
