Bella Verona restaurant is where I experienced authentic Italian food. Simple and genuine home-style Italian food dishes. I relished the pork loin with pepper. It was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent.

Very disappointed, made reservations days in advance. We showed up 10 minutes early to a crowd of people standing in the middle of the restaurant. We waited for 40 minutes. Another couple with reservations talked to the ghost who just laughed and shrugged. That couple and us both walked out. The food looked good, but poor management.

Great food, perfect location across from the Hawthorne. Looks like a little hole in the wall but these are always the best places to get good food!

I have never left a restaurant in tears before, truly humiliating experience. We had a 6:45 reservation and were not sat until after 7:15. We weren't greeted by a host or waiter for a while, and we sat at our table without any acknowledgement. We kept trying to flag someone down but no one noticed because it seemed like everyone was very overwhelmed. We had to leave at 8 for a show and finally got ahold of someone to ask for the check. We ended up paying $80 just for our drinks, they packaged up our food for us but we weren't able to eat it since we had a show to attend. Our waitress seemed nice and friendly but I wish we got some kind of acknowledgement of our experience.
I have never felt so humiliated or embarrassed or upset.

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night. We had reservations, but being it’s October, and super busy, we waited a little bit, but it was not too long. The restaurant inside is old world Italian, which is so refreshing, as so many places have modernized. The food was good, portions on the smaller side. There’s a decent wine list. Our server was fantastic. She was efficient, so friendly, and knowledgeable on the food.
Simply incredible. It’s cozy and delicious. The staff were very attentive and the pasta was incredibly good. It was a hefty portion as well. They paired our wine perfectly with our order, too!

Well...we ate here after getting married. We are from out of state and relied on google to pick this establishment. We had a reservation and arrived way earlier than scheduled and we got seated without having to wait. So, that's a plus. What was really disappointing was that we both wanted the cannoli and it was not available because we were told it was made incorrectly for the day and was too runny. Also Inwas unable to get an espresso because the machine is broken. The food we ordered was fresh and was good- with the exception of the caramel pudding, that was gross. The service was mediocre. They took much longer than I was comfortable with to bring my credit card back to the table. The atmosphere is cramped inside and very dated. It could definitely use a revamp. We will not return when we make additional trips to Salem!

We made reservations here as we knew that it was a busy time of year in Salem. The food was very good and the service was fast and attentive. Make sure to get the tiramisu for dessert! This was our favorite meal while visiting the Boston area!

This was probably the absolute BEST meal we had our entire 5 day trip in Salem. Everything was absolutely perfect. The service was amazing, the atmosphere was great and the food & drinks & dessert were phenomenal! My only complaint is that I didn't have more room in my stomach to eat more!
