This is a great spot to stop for souvenirs in Salem. We did a tasting with Karen through Salem Food Tours and couldn't recommend it enough. It was so fun to sample all the varieties of salts and spices before making our purchases.

Last night I attended Chef Roy's knife skills class and it was a wonderful joyful learning experience with a great vibe. It was a lot of good information about all types of knives with the emphasis on the chef's knife. I was able to practice and get some individual attention on a better way to dice an onion. I came home and diced up some vegetables for dinner. I look forward to attending more classes at Salem Gnu Kitchen. Thank you!

I happened to be passing by this place & decided to go inside to check it out. Well my oh my, the aromas wafting through the store is simply amazing. There are so many different herbs & spices to choose from you have to know what they all are too, which of course I did not, but that's ok, staff is there to help. I really pondered what to get & realized I had to think about the things I cook, since I don't actually bake. I also saw on the other part of the store, there are teas available too, so had to get some as well. Another section where there are chocolate & baked goods are a different store actually. So you can find something here for yourself or as gifts, so check it out.

Most of all I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff! After what I'm sure was a crazy day I enjoyed a conversation with David Bowie. Stop by this shop! You won't regret it!
