The food is so good. We go everytime we visit its a must do. Make sure to make reservations because it does fill up fast. The hotel is beautiful and we always make sure to go into the library. Something about it is calming.
My husband and I went here for breakfast. They had live music which was very nice! It was very busy and festive for the holidays. I got the Florentine Benedict which was delicious and the oatmeal which was perfect. My husband built his own omelette - you can add on many choices of vegetables, cheeses and meats. Definitely a happening place on Sunday morning. Staff and atmosphere were great!
We love returning to eat at The Tavern in the Hawthorne. The atmosphere is warm and inviting especially on a cold winter afternoon. The Hawthorne retains the old fashioned feel of a small city hotel. The food is always very good, if not gourmet fare. The prices have definitely risen over the last few years but that is the case everywhere these days.
