You can't beat the ambiance in the Hawthorne Tavern. The food is consistently great, and the staff give you just the right amount of attention. We love it for birthdays, anniversaries and when guests are in town.
I recently dined with 3 other longtime women friends and we all enjoyed our entrees. The atmosphere is casual. Our waiter was professional and didn't rush us. The food in the tavern is consistently delicious as I have dined here multiple times and always get a nice meal.
Love the room with wood paneling and fireplace. We arrived early for dinner and our waitress was very busy as she was also the bartender. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable esp after more help arrived. Had the restaurant week menu- Brie and blackened shrimp w/ polenta for apps and salmon and chicken Marsala entrees. All were delicious and plentiful. Had the chocolate torte for dessert which was rich and filling served w/ whipped cream and raspberries. Will come again as had...
