La Brasa has been consistently serving deliciously prepared food for the 7 years I have been going there. They are a rare example of finding balance in their dishes that are unexpected and refined while somehow being familiar and approachable. The service is attentive and welcoming without being overbearing and seems coordinated and collaborative from the front to back of house. The ambiance at La Brasa is cool without being trendy and has many beautiful details throughout- all without feeling stuffy. Whether it is a drink and snacks after work, a weeknight family dinner, or a special occasion (don't sleep on their capacity for special events- we got married there), La Brasa does not disappoint!
Very confused how this place is still open and why it's listed on Boston Eater 38. At 7 pm on a Saturday night we were one of 6 tables full in an incredibly large dining space. While this enabled the waitstaff to be very attentive, it was really odd and created a low energy environment. The food was average to below average - everything tasted the same: oversalted and slightly burned. The pork was so tough. We were in and out in 45 minutes.
We enjoyed a nice quiet meal at La Brasa on a Thursday evening. Would especially recommend the pork carnitas tacos and the silken tofu chocolate mousse. Drinks were great, too. Wish there were more people there to enjoy it!

Terrific date night at La Brasa, would especially recommend the pork carnitas tacos and the silken tofu chocolate mousse. Surprisingly quiet for a Thursday night, but we really enjoyed our meal! For those with families, there are high chairs.
Fine food. Received a side dish we considered but didn’t order in addition to being charged for water. Personally, I never recommend or return to restaurants that ask their staff to upsell by offering “still or sparkling” water without offering tap or explaining there will be a charge. It’s at best tacky and always feels scammy!
Good food and friendly staff!
Love the vibe, the place is huge and there was just a few people for a Friday night! which is surprising, guys, what are you waiting for to try this place out?
We loved sharing plates + cocktails!

Garbage food. Last time we went there for $1 oysters, and the taste of those was horrid (actually you can tell the taste is not good from the photos below, lots and lots of sand, rotten smell) . Not to mention the small portion sizes, and rock-liked rice. There’re basically very few dishes to choose from on the menu as well. Kind of makes me wondered where those 5 stars reviews are coming from. Extremely unpleasant experience for sure. One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to in my whole entire life.

We had been here in the past but with the Owner chef now taking over the kitchen our dinner was extraordinary. We split a new take on the caesar with tortilla crumbs providing a crunch and queso fresco complimenting a traditional Caesar dressing. I had their signature dish of iberian pork collar (margote) which had been sous vided and marinated then grilled on their wood fire finished with a salsa. My wife had the wood grilled chicken. we had elotes on the side (street corn) which was perfect. Our waiter Ivan was extremely knowledgable and found the right martinis before the meal and perfect wines for each of our entrees. Great ambiance, terrific bar without pretension just great skill.
Came here today on 7/29 google says it’s opened. Restaurant is closed, please update your hours online. When I can come back and actually have dinner, I will update the review. Thanks
Fantastic food and cocktails. Friendly, attentive service. Stylish and inviting space. Will definitely return.

The restaurant was almost empty at 7pm on a Wednesday, and we quickly understood why. The drinks were watery, the food was expensive, and the only flavor was salt. My swordfish was so salty that I could barely manage three bites and even the greens on the plate were salty. I was very disappointed and will not be returning.
Absolutely loved everything about this restaurant! The food was delicious. We ordered a few items to share. Highlights were - tacos, pork belly, and roasted carrots. The drinks were great too. Specifically, the old fashioned. It was well made. The restaurant had a cozy vibe, and the service was good. We'd love to go back here again for dinner!

If you want to talk with your dinner dates, do it before you go to the restaurant. Impossibly loud. Would not return.
So disappointing. The last two times I have gone the food has been bland and unimpressive. This used to be my favorite restaurant. The food used to be incredible- the best meals I had ever eaten, and totally worth the high price. Now it’s meh and not worth it. Not sure what has happened to this place, but I hope they figure it out.
Was in town for a graduation. Found La Brasa which is near Assembly Row where we stayed. Fr
