I have been coming there a couple years now and hands down they have the best pupusas !
I like this place the most out of the Salvadoran places on Broadway. I personally think their best deal is the montecristo plate (~$16).
I was absolutely shocked when I first got it. Came with rice, beans, fresh tortillas, salad, queso fresco, a GIANT piece of steak, yuca frita, and a whole strip or Chicharron and a sweet plantain. Try the Chicharron and plantain mixed together--the sweetness really balances out the natural saltiness of the pork and it's so good!!

Montecristo is a family restaurant on Broadway known for its Salvadoran specialties. The beef soup and fried pork rinds are delicious, although some diners wished for more rice. Their unique dishes like loroco pupusas, garnachas, and nuegados de yuca stand out. The staff is helpful in making decisions, and all dishes tried were amazing. Outdoor seating and ample parking make it convenient.
Montecristo is a friendly neighborhood spot for delicious Mexican and Salvadoran eats and casual dining. It is one of the best Salvadoran restaurants, offering super authentic and flavorful cuisine in a very clean and pleasant environment. The menu features freshly made dishes, from the horchata to the pupusas and fried plantains. Customers have enjoyed the Gordita (chicken) sandwich, nuegados - chewy and fluffy yuca bites, and the tasty pupusas. The restaurant offers good value, with a satisfying and well-priced selection.
