We stopped by Prik Nam Pla in Somerville and it was fantastic from start to finish. We ordered the chicken soup, crispy pork soup, and kapow chicken stir fry — every dish was packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care. The soups were rich and comforting, and the crispy pork stayed unbelievably crisp even in broth (a small miracle). The kapow chicken stir fry had just the right amount of heat and depth — the kind of dish you keep going back to long after you’re full.
On top of the great food, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly — the kind where you feel like they’re happy you came in. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for Thai food that feels both authentic and elevated.

The Khao Soi was the best I've had in a long time. Looking forward to visiting again and trying other dishes.

This was the best Pad Thai I have had in a long time...if not the best that I've had in Boston. The tofu was cooked so well too. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!!

Hands down the best Thai restaurant in the city. Every dish I’ve tried here is bursting with layers of flavor. You can truly taste the love and care that goes into the food. After chatting with the host, I learned that everything is made from scratch in-house, including all the curry pastes, and it absolutely shows in the depth of flavor.
It’s a small, family-run spot, and the whole team is always so kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to serve. I’ve ordered from them a handful of times now, and it’s officially in my weekly rotation. Their lunch specials are generous and super filling — perfect for a midday pick-me-up. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and give them a try. You’ll be hooked after the first bite.

Food is good. We ate at 4 pm today and I was pretty hot inside the restaurant. Thus the 3 for atmosphere.

It was a rainy Saturday morning, desperate for carbs and sustenance. We sat down in the best Thai restaurant in all of Greater Boston. And honestly, I'm fr fr, this place truly NEVER misses. It is so damn good. Best little Thai cafe in town. Makes my day, my week, my month even. Always gotta come here when we're in town.

We had a fabulous meal at Prik Nam Pla! The service was awesome and the food was so flavorful. The restaurant is small and fills up quickly, but they do their best to accommodate dine-in customers quickly.

Best Khao soi I’ve had in the Boston area. The waitress told us that they make the curry in-house using imported ingredients from Thailand. It reminded me of the Khao soi I had in Chiang Mai. Unassuming atmosphere with attentive service. Will definitely be back!

Amazing food and amazing Thai iced tea! The Thai iced tea is seriously so yummy. We had the Beef Stew Noodle (Dry) and Khao Soi Moo Tod (Crispy Pork). Both were so good and full of flavor. Highly recommend this place!

This is a hidden gem — my favorite restaurant in Davis Square —and has absolutely the best Khao Soi I’ve ever had! I really appreciate that they have a tofu option since many places don’t.

Okay so IMO this is pretty damn tasty and authentic Thai food. In fact I'd say it's some of the best we've had in New England. The spices are all there -- but be forewarned that so is the overuse of sugar in many of their dishes (Pad Thai, Tom Kha, etc), so you may want to ask them to leave that out. I did this for the Pad Thai and the result was excellent. The spice level in the curries is also spot on (for me at least), and their Panang is as good as it gets. Everything is fresh and the servings are plentiful, and the prices are, well, Boston prices -- but your not likely to find better for less. Although it's a very small space (just a few tables) the owners are attentive and helpful and the food comes out of the kitchen really quickly and piping hot.
We'll definitely be back here for more.
