It's the best in Massachusetts I am south Boston born and came to visit my relatives and get my subs only from them*****1
So sad that there building was sold hopefully they can find another place to move to . Will be really sad if they end up closing. It will honestly be terrible not to be able to get the best halfmoons ever .
Great to see an established business that still thinks of delicious innovations. Stopped to get one of the softest fresh Italian breads around but could not pass on the cheese and chive scones.Coupled with a warm bacon croissant. The made in place breakfast sandwiches are a solid go to.Still stocked with amazing pastries of all descriptions and cakes made to order, coffee on multitude flavors.Worth a stop and many trips back.
I haven't been here in years, but I'll never forget this place! My parents used to take me here quite often as a kid. I'd always get the pizza, cream puffs, and an assortment of other bakery items. Then sometimes drive up to Castle Island to sit and eat. They're so good I still think about them to this day! Some day I'll have to take my kids so they can experience the deliciousness that is Joseph's bakery! So happy to see this place is still around after all these years!
Desserts Heaven!Fresh BreadsAlso have food and sandwichesGreat serviceHighly recommend this place.Limited parking
Bagels are fresh the breakfest sandwichs are great size and the staff are very friendly also.
Family style place, friendly, efficient staff, knew everyone it seemed, pastries were delicious, the breakfast sandwiches are huge and great price. Many different coffees and flavors. Definitely a stop if your hungry.
I am a long time customer ( all my life) of Josephs Bakery. Their stuff its okay. But they stopped making a lot of stuff I liked like mocha cakes & other stuff.. But I cannot & won't go there again because their prices are way too high.
The chocolate croissants are great but they are always sold out. Not sure why they can’t just make more of one of their most popular items?
The French macrons were delicious. The cupcakes tasted frozen. The service was not pleasant. Too many other bakeries so j won’t be back.

Ordered a 12” chocolate cake with vanilla frosting for my daughter’s college graduation party. The cake was awful. The frosting tasted like lard and the cake was dry. It truly was terrible. After the graduate and a few family members tasted the cake, we had to throw it away. What a waste of money.
Family owned business with extremely friendly service. Every time I go in they are having a personal conversation/recognize their customers by name. Their flavored coffees and spinach squares are a breakfast favorite and their cupcakes are just as delicious as they look!
