“We drove through Sterling and picked up Village Pizza on a whim. It was fantastic! My family moved out here from Cambridge and have been looking for a good steak and cheese and finally found one! We placed a pretty big order, 5 subs, 2 salads and 2 sides and everything was done quickly, correctly and delicious! Went back again tonight and it was just as good. The house made dressing is phenomenal! I will go back for the dressing alone! The people are genuine and kind. If you haven't tried this place, you're missing out! “I recently visited family in Massachusetts and met with friends at Barber's Crossing in Sterling. I am 73 years old and have eaten out in many places. Over the last couple of years anyone that you speak with will tell you that the prices have gone UP, and the quality and Portion sizes have gone DOWN. THAT WAS NOT TRUE AT BARBER'S CROSSING DURING MY VISIT. I had to call my daughter and tell her what a wonderful meal I had. Every bite was just as flavorful and tasteful as the first. Even the mashed potatoes tasted fresh and homemade. Whenever I return to Mass for a visit. I will be sure to stop and eat there again. It was the best meal that I have had at a restaurant in years! The waitress was very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was quite pleasant. But the food was exceptional. Keep up the great work in the kitchen.”

“Absolutely the best N. Y. Sirloin I have ever tasted. It was thick, tender and favorable, served with a chicken-of-the-woods reduction that was perfectly paired with the steak. Reservations are recommended and the place was full within the first hour of operation. It can be a little noisy, but that's to be expected for an restaurant that is as popular as Romaine's. Service was adequate and attentive for the Saturday night crowd”

“Went for first time 3/3/24 and caught the end of the brunch buffet around 4pm. The food was flavorful, fresh, and overall excellent. Something for everyone in that buffet -it's not overly seasoned, and they had several deserts that use natural sweeteners (like dates and figs) with no added sugar. They keep the food areas very well attended and clean. I will be back again and again, what a great find!”

“ok, so I'm not sure what happened tonight, but a far different experience from a few weeks ago. Then Iwas impressed with service, food, cocktails. the whole experience was just wonderful last time. after that girls night out, I raved to hubby "we got go there!" I work in Leominster, but live 45 mins away, so we usually dine out more local to home. Tonight started with an espresso martini...well, they've decided to top it with a cold foam type of topping. so the whole top have inch of the glass is foam, not beverage. martinis are expensive, a martini should be brim full, disappointed and felt cheated for the price. I ordered their boneless "jumbo chicken wings". turned out to be 6 little chunks of chicken, not much bigger than mcnuggets, and they were way over cooked to the point they were rock hard. I had to discreetly remove some from my mouth because they were beyond rock-hard. a dining companion in the group had the same experience with hers.the sauces I chose to accompany were tasty, but they didn't do much to help the chicken. the female bartender was great, attentive, and happy. wish I could rave, but not this time sadly.will try again because I don't think this was normal”

Then we had a few signature maki rolls- the Shaggy Roll was our favorite. So good! I also highly recommend the Toasted Coconut Mai Tai- so delicious!! Really though, this place just works...from the creative and satirical food and drink menu boards and other entertaining signage, to the consistent quality of the food and coffee- The Melody Maker is a unique fusion of guitar and music enthusiast vibes with thoughtfully crafted breakfast sandwiches with almost every coffee flavor you could think up. I personally favor the pistachio.”
