The food was delicious, the wine(Daou) was smooth and one to remember. Our waiter was attentive to our needs and wasn't intrusive. We did find the prices to be very high for one person. $115 maybe for two but one? High.
The Red Lion Inn is fabulous (especially the brown sugar cake). We were there for lunch and I did miss the bread basket they used to offer. I had salmon and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had the chicken pot pie, which is his customary order.
Food was slow coming out, kids had fish and chips and the fries were cold and very overcooked/dry. My husband had the turkey sandwich and said it would have been much better if it was served warm. I had the chicken pot pie which was little more than a cup of soup with a puff pastry on top, did not reflect the price point. For one of the few places to eat in Stockbridge, it was disappointing. Unlikely to return.
