Highly disappointed in this restaurant. If you are a black person, do yourself a favor and do not come here. I came in with my boyfriend and we were able to order our appetizers and drinks but that’s it. They didn’t acknowledge us afterwards. We waited 20 mins and still no one served us. They kept walking by our table. An indian family couple came in and they were immediately served. I spoke with the manager and I explained to him that I was disappointed on how they treated my boyfriend and I and that because of my color, it’s not right. Never experienced anything like that in my life

Friendly, attentive staff. Food was hot and delicious. Lunch portions were great, and I finished everything! I was in at 2:30P after a medical appointment, so it was quiet- just what I needed! Thank you, I'll be back!
Kid-friendliness: Sure! Bring the family.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, ground level. Sufficient room to handle a wheelchair.

I love Indian food and I LOVE Rang! Not only are vegan items clearly marked, but they know what vegan means. There are plenty options to choose from, and everything I’ve had, from the dals to the vegetable dishes, are incredibly flavorful. The Bindhi Masala is AMAZING! November 2024 update: on another visit to Rang, I told the server I was vegan. His response:"that's awesome! I'm vegetarian but try to be vegan." I love this place! Went there after checking the ratings that are above 4 points. Though didn't really read the reviews, turns out that high ratings are from non-indians that may not have enough experience with Indian food. It was just sad that ratings are so misleading. The food was extremely tasteless, way below average. Ordered appetizer plate, dosa and fish curry. Absolutely zero taste/flavors. I mean how can anyone go wrong with the onion chutney?? That always taste better in worst restaurants as well. Dosa was served with no chutneys, dosa was small and tasteless for the 15.99 price. Fish curry needed to have some decent fish pieces in it and not just onions and bell peppers with zero salt added. Ambience was just dull and overall a disappointing experience. Not sure if it was really Indian coz it just lacked flavors or taste. Don't think would return again or recommend.

This has been our go to place since it has opened. Usually the food is amazing. Last night we ordered chicken korma, lamb curry and vegetable appetizers. The chicken was dry, the lamb was dry and appetizers were tasteless. I am so disappointed how much Rang has let us down recently. I am now looking for a new Indian restaurant.

This was our first visit and given the reviews, I had higher expectations. Unfortunately because I am accustomed to eating Indian food in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston, I expected appropriate complex spicing in the entrees. I can tell the kitchen is using abbreviated recipes as each of the 4 dishes we ordered tasted flat, bland, under seasoned and not authentic. Everything was ordered medium hot level and all were less than mild. All the dishes tasted of a similar profile which made us wonder if they only had 3-4 spices in the kitchen - garlic, cumin, chili, a generic blended curry powder. We had baigan bharta (advertised as eggplant roasted over charcoal but tasted boiled), shrimp do piazza (ok but bland and unseasoned with hardly any spice), chicken jalfrezi (was strangely made with precooked chicken breast so the pieces were super dry, overcooked and unpleasant to eat. Also bland with none of the advertised ‘fresh herbs’), vegetable mixed appetizer had 4 very small pieces and the samosa filling and aloo tikki tasted of very bitter potato. Unpleasant and would not recommend. Saag paneer (was ok but also bland and under seasoned), and a large bread basket with 4 different naan which all tasted similar with no real distinguishing flavor profiles. Ordering 4 entrees came with only one dish of rice which was fine since we ordered so much bread. The service is nice and an extra star for the service. I am glad they are popular with their community. It was fairly busy in a weeknight.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options listed.
Parking: There is a parking lot across the street that is free after 5pm
Kid-friendliness: Food is quite bland so the kids can easily eat anything on the menu.

I am here on a work trip from California. This was actually a very nice experience for an Indian restaurant. The papad was nice along with the excellent chutneys. The masala dosage was great along with the unique coconut chutney. I loved the flavor of the salad dressing as well. The ambience and overall atmosphere of this restaurant was very nice!

Friendly staff, great food, made with different amounts of heat for each meal. Would definitely go there again.
Ordered 4 meals to go. The food was excellent. The lamb was a bit tough, but the curries were flavorful and very spicy. Food was delivered to hotel door very quickly.
