Everybody in here is just phenomenal to talk to. They go above and beyond every single time. I wish all shops used this one as a standard of how to be. I actually called very short notice for a birthday cake and the incredibly helpful staff put me on a very brief hold and checked with the amazing baker and said no problem! I was so grateful and the cake came out AMAZING.
I gave a rough idea of a fall themed cake and they knocked it out of the park! Pumpkins and leaves and the whole feel of an October birthday was captured on a delicious cake :)

My husband and I got married this August and we are still swooning over the incredible whoopie pies Topsfield Bakeshop made for our wedding! We had tried them prior to getting engaged and my husband and I knew they were something we wanted to have at our wedding! And it was so clear these were made with love! Our guests are still raving about them—some even said they were the best dessert they’ve had at a wedding! Not only were the whoopie pies absolutely delicious (perfectly soft, rich, and flavorful with just the right balance of sweetness and texture), but they looked beautiful. They added a touch of whimsy and charm to our dessert table and fit our wedding vibe perfectly. To top it all off, the team was an absolute joy to work with—professional, warm, and genuinely excited to help make our day special. Although on the higher pricing end for our budget, we couldn't resist the strawberry tall cake. It was the best cake we've ever had and we're not a fan of cake. We didn't want cake for our wedding but the cake tasting trial changed our mind when we tried the strawberry tall cake. Very experienced and no hassle day of. They got everything under control and delivered without any help from us day of. everything can be finalized days in advance and checked a box off our list. Cake for 100 people was around 1k$ for a simple no extra decor like below. Came with 1 year anniversary tier for freezing. Overall great service and we're still thinking about the tallcake

He answered my (many!) questions, gave great suggestions, and helped create my exact vision. I had every faith that the cake would be tasty, but when I took a bite for a photo - I had to excuse myself and eat the whole slice. Our cake was DELICIOUS. So many guests approached us to compliment how tasty both the red velvet and lemon raspberry torte were. The design of the cake looked exactly like the picture I sent Philip - only prettier. We worked with Topsfield Bakeshop for our wedding in April 2025! My husband has always been a big whoopie pie fan (and we have a history ordering from Topsfield Bakeshop) so it was a no brainer to us to order their mini whoopie pies as the main dessert for our wedding.
We first got connected with Topsfield Bakeshop in July 2024 and were able to do a take-home cake tasting later that month. Talk about tough decisions! The cake flavors were heavenly, so much so that we didn’t end up deciding what cake flavor to go with (lemon raspberry torte) until weeks before the wedding.
The mini whoopie pies were the main attraction. We got a variety of flavors, but the red velvet and s’mores were our favorites. Topsfield Bakeshop also offers gluten-free and dairy-free options, which we took advantage of! As I mentioned, the mini whoopies pies were the primary dessert option, but the lemon raspberry torte was heavenly and so refreshing!
We have to recognize Philip, who helped us with all of the details and planning. Philip was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was extremely thorough, incredibly professional, and always so responsive. We mostly communicated via email, so it was such a treat to finally meet him! Topsfield Bakeshop will definitely be seeing more of us!

Topsfield Bakeshop is one of the only places that provides wedding cake samples for a reasonable price. Every cake we sampled was moist and delicious! We ended up selecting the margarita cake for two tiers and strawberry tall cake for one tier. The cake was such a hit at our wedding and there were only TWO pieces left! All of our guests raved about the cake.
